Pull up a chair, snap your fingers, "double latte" and lets hear whats on your mind. Gripes, comments, compliments, complaints, ideas? Lets get them out in the open and see if we can relate, have some fun, come to conclusions maybe, who knows.

Good Morning Folks

Got the top of the boat wet as well as the bottom the other day. Boating on the river is always good but in the rain, not quite as good. We're looking to have a gasbuddy cruise next Monday and Tuesday evenings. Come for one or both. Y'all can get my contact info from MrGG.

With the state fair in session the summer is rapidly drawing to a close. We've got several road trips planned and that helps to end the summer also. Now I'm appreciative of every nice day we have!

Fruit and Nut Smoothie, by the pool, please, Bunny

Good morning everybuddy! Happy Friday!! Short day for me. Made most of the errands after work yesterday, baked the choc chip butterscotch chip cookies. Stopped at a Farmer's Market, but forgot cilantro, so stopping at the store for that, and then making salsa. And packing my clothes, food stuffs, wash the bikes, and wait for the mrs to get home from a job in Duluth, and then away we go to Hayward WI for a weekend of biking, laking, and other stuffs.

sout, easy days are needed!

Have a GREAT day everybuddy!

Current temp is 74°F. Current dew point is 73°F. This results in a relative humidity of 94% and air that is difficult to breathe.

ladida - I usually order a cheeseburger and fries. Little Splinter orders the Double Double.

Handi - sorry about your cat.

CG - I always get Nitro ice cream. Yum!

Good Morning

I qualify for senior citizens day. Thanks.

Took it easy yesterday as daughter's family left Tuesday and recovering from championship celebration.

HS football starts Friday. This is a religion in Texas, and in this area where there is no college football, it is even bigger.

Everyone enjoy your day and the rain. We could use some here.

Good morning MrGG, Handi, ladi, and everybuddy else coming in today. Well, we finally got some rain. They talked heavy downpours, but when I was up and around, it was just sprinkling, so I coulda rode the bike. But, I reset the alarm, so drove. I have a few errands after work to prepare for the weekend, so driving will be more efficient. First day since June 26 that I haven't biked to the bus...

sout, great to hear the AC is fixed! CONGRATS on the win!! Thanks for the tacos and champagne.

jay, cool!

MrGG, yes, someday! When I go to the Fair, I have no intentions to eat healthy. Hopefully, I can share everything I get with one or more, but I will sample of lot of different things. Some things may be healthy, but some will not. I do NOT like Martha's cookies, so I don't need them. Taste like store bought, except warm to me.

wmsb, thank you. I haven't checked the weather in WI where we will be. Some rain expected here...

My truck has a cassette player in it...

Handi, good luck with your shoulder. My dad fell on his should biking in the Tour de Cure in June, and he is now going thru physical therapy. So sorry to hear about your kitty...

Have a GREAT day everybuddy!

Had a couple of pretty fine river cruises these last couple of days. We're gonna try for more gasbuddy cruises next Monday and Teusday evenings. That's the 25th and 26th.....again, arrive around 5:30 to 6 pm and we're planning for a 6 pm departure from the dock. And, Go4, please bring Sparky along!

mornin all

I'm thinkin fall is just around the corner up here, it just feels like it's time

I have shoulder surgery in two weeks, that's what happens you you fall to many times usually on ice, but I do it standing still as well, that's quite the trick --- not recommended you try it tho

sou --- congrats on the win and A/C can be useful

shocaser --- welcome to Cafe

MrGG --- National Radio Day sounds interesting --- the celebration of the sets themselves? or the programs ?

just a side note --- one of our cats started limping about a week ago so took him to the vet yesterday ---- news was not good, he has to blown knees and arthritis in his hind legs and back -- so all we can do is try to keep the pain to a minimum --- vet said even surgery probably wouldn't do much good seeing he couldn't support his weight after surgery

hoping you all have a great day

soux - wow, congrats to you and your team.
golfer - don't you just love those honey do weekends. lol
Mr GG - I think I have a cassette of some of those programs.....haha. now you have to find a cassette player to listen to them... whose on first, whats on second...
jay - have fun and have ducky kind of day
CG - I remember a group of us at church sent a care pack to soldiers in Iraq when that was going on and sent them a bunch of catsup single serve packs with In and Out logo on them. Talked to the store and they also gave us a bunch of those paper fold In and Out hats to send to the troops as well. I remember they wrote back how great it was to get that burger stuff and fun. To think they don't have catsup in Iraq.... I don't think I could survive without catsup.

Good Morning

A/C fixed and working well. If it had been just wife and me, we would have stayed with friend, but had three more so the motel worked well. Grand duaghter went swimming and we took a picnic lunch and ate pool side. Also helped I got discount because of my working for the baseball team.

Speaking of team, we won the championship last night. Sad that this team will probably not be together next year as several players & managers will probably move up to a higher division next season.

Fresh champagne and breakfast tacos.

Good morning Handi, ladi, and everybuddy else coming in today for mid week celebrations. Rode 31 miles home yesterday. Went well. Made enchaladas for dinner, since the mrs has been working non stop since about Friday. I told her I was going to be packing her clothes for the extended weekend biking festivities. She giggled.

ladi, I have been to an In & Out Burger once, and would go back again. A friend has a tshirt he frequently wears from one. Barbo, from HI, went to a Packer game with me and the mrs a couple of years ago. She is a life long Packer fan. Go4 may go to Lambeau, I guess if the Bears were playing there...

Chicago? I have heard of Old Chicago, but that is more pizza...

During my ride home, I went thru two areas, about 3 miles, that were freshly wet, puddles and all, but I didn't see the rain. I did get sprinkled on for a few minutes, but never enough to get the streets wet.

wmsb, wow, 45 years old sounds like a pretty good life for a door and opener!

Have a GREAT day everybuddy!

doing the midnight posting thing

golfer = glad to see you back. I think the donuts were still a little bit warm and good. thanks. So now your garage is water-tight?
Splinter - how do you like your burger? animal style? Are there in and outs outside of calif?
jay - are you going to the duck parade?
Go4 - oh, guess I was thinking, weather, traffic, congestion... etc. Did not know about the good food....etc. Didn't you go with CG to a packer game a few years ago?

anyone want to blow some rain this way, would be appreciated, need that wet weather here big time

Splinter, heavy rains the last couple of years has caused the bottoms of the front of the garage to rot, hence the drainage system. Replacing the original wooden doors and one of the original door openers. Opener and doors were 45 y/o. Cutting out and replacing rotten wood sections.

CGRO, yes, but a lot of work still left to complete.

soutxed, hope the A/C was fixed. We have several fans and two window A/C's as backup.

Good Morning Folks !

"National Aviation Day" ... maybe I'll go fly a kite when my granddaughter visits this afternoon.

I also like Chicago.
My daughter went to school there for a couple years though I have spent more time there when she wasn't there.

For all the rain which blew through our area yesterday I received none so it's back to watering my garden.

The picnic platter please, Bunny.

ladida - my entire family LOVES In-N-Out!! We stop in whenever we are in California. I also love Chicago but not Da Bears (life-long Packer fan).

soutxed - staying in a motel sounds like a good choice. Hope your AC gets fixed soon. Our AC broke 15 years ago when the repair people were extremely busy so my neighbors let me sleep in their basement for a few night. The rest of my family wasn't as bothered by the extreme temps.

jayrad - I'll bet that confuses a lot of birds and ducks!

Sid - haven't had a Slider in a long time!

golfer - what happened to your garage?

Yup, Sid, a 30 pack crave case would be a good start! The last time we had that fine cuisine from Le Chateau Blanc the marine head stood up to the assault. Besides, we're very close to the pump out system and can remove the effluent very quickly. So bring 'em on!

BGJam, what kind of snacks should an individual bring on your cruise ship?

A (30) pack of White Castle's in a Crave Case with extremely heavy onions and pickles?

Does your holding tank, for the commode, have the capacity to handle a (30) pack Crave Case?..Which in turn would create a lower GI blow out from the passengers involved in consuming such snacks.

lol and so forth

I better check airfares for a DTW-MSP plane ride for a three day weekend.

Good morning everybuddy! We had a good weekend, eventhou MrsCG worked practically all weekend. We went for a off road ride Sat even, then stopped at friends near the trail to pick up the jalepeno brats I left at their lake lot last week. Another couple came with for the ride, and the after. Sunday I had to ride alone, but I got it in before the rain, and a bunch of things on a list crossed off. Fri eve went on a group ride, relaxed. Good time.

Sid, Jucy. Lucy.

ladi, sounds like a nice idea.

sout, sounds like a good plan!

MrGG, I could probably work that in.

BG, I am pretty busy this week. We are going out of town biking this weekend, until Tuesday. So, it will be two weeks at least for me. Tuesday's work better for me, as I have trail work Monday eves. Thank you!

Have a GREAT day everybuddy!

Good Morning Folks

The river's at normal pool and we've had a bit of silting in our harbors from the high water. I gotta be careful getting in and out of the harbor so I don't drag my prop through the sand. The boat's running good and ready for a Gasbuddy Cruise. How does and evening cruise on a Monday or Tuesday sound? Spouses, kids or significant others are all welcome. CG, Splinter, Goforlars, MrGG, Sid? I need some feedback and we'll make it happen!
