Pull up a chair, snap your fingers, "double latte" and lets hear whats on your mind. Gripes, comments, compliments, complaints, ideas? Lets get them out in the open and see if we can relate, have some fun, come to conclusions maybe, who knows.

Good Morning everyone,

Cool morning today but expected to hit 90 before the end of the day.

Return visit to the doctor today to see how his "work of art" is doing.

Then hopefully off to see grandchildren in a school program.

CG, I have been told I was number one by students and other drivers. At least I think that is what they meant. :)

Coffee to go please.

Good morning Handi, mnjr, ladi, and everybuddy else. I had a dentist appt yesterday, well I thought I did. Turns out after I trudged thru the heavy winds to get to the appt on my bike, my appt was for today. Luckily, someone else with a 7:30 appt didn't show up, so I got their spot. Very good review. Then, finally back to work aat 10:00, due to riding busses with many stops, and one change in bus routes. I should just figure out how to bick from Inver Grove Heights to St Paul. Wouldn't be difficult, and probably faster.

MrGG, being voted #1 would be wonderful!!

mnjr, I don't know about being a young man. Maybe younger than you. Currently holding steady at 49. That is a lot of bags.

Handi, how exciting!! Will that 3 inches stay? Very nice drop in prices!!

sout, hopefully the extended time doesn't turn in to extended recovery time. No need to apologize to the others, wasn't your fault.

We were under $3.00 for a day or so, but then we had two spikes up to $3.19. A couple a stations have dropped down to $3.05, but most, and all the ones in my neighborhood, are at $3.17. Super America must not want us below $3.00.

Have a GREAT day everybuddy!

Good morning!

The leaves are almost all down (well over 3/4's anyway), the curbs are in, the sod has been laid, and yesterday afternoon the manhole and water main covers are beginning to get installed ahead of (I hope) the final layer of asphalt! All that I'd LOVE to see done is that street sweeper come by again and clean up the dirt and eliminate a lot of the dust around here. Soon I hope... It's been a long summer and fall with all the inconvenience. It'll be very nice when finally done though!

Have a great day everyone!

soutx - I think that is standard for both the house and senate. Look at Obama care. It was never read or discussed it's merits or downfalls.... but they did vote to exempt themselves from the rules of it really quickly. That should have been a big red flag to all the people. Anyway, I'm soooooooooo glad it got voted down.

Good Morning,

Handi, most stations here are below $3 for regular. Let's see what happens as Thanksgiving approach.

Ladida, maybe some of those senators did not read the bill before they voted.

good morning everyone. Time to stop in for a donut and cup of tea. Hope all are doing well.
Not sure how many of you own a gun for recreational purposes. Or maybe like my Dada, he is a retired sheriff and has pieces in the safe.

Got this email about a recent vote in the senate and wanted to share it with you... especially good if you are in a state and wondering who to vote for...

HOORAY a 53-46 vote!!!

The U.N. Resolution 2117 lists 21 points dealing with firearms control, but perhaps of most interest is point number 11. It: "CALLS FOR MEMBER STATES TO SUPPORT WEAPONS COLLECTION and DISARMAMENT of all UN countries".

By a 53-46 vote - The U.S. Senate voted against the U.N. resolution. HOORAY!!!

This is that brief, glorious moment in history when everyone stands around...reloading.

Now, Which 46 Senators Voted to Destroy Us? Well, let their names become known! See below.. If you vote in one of the United States listed with these 46 "legislators"! I suggest that you vote against them!!

In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The Statement of Purpose from the Senate Bill reads: "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry, now get this, on all private guns and ammo.

Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

Here are the 46 senators who voted to give your rights to the U.N.:

Baldwin (D-WI)

Baucus (D-MT)

Bennett (D-CO)

Blumenthal (D-CT)

Boxer (D-CA)

Brown (D-OH)

Cantwell (D-WA)

Cardin (D-MD)

Carper (D-DE)

Casey (D-PA)

Coons (D-DE)

Cowan (D-MA)

Durbin (D-IL)

Feinstein (D-CA)

Franken (D-MN)

Gillibrand (D-NY)

Harkin (D-IA)

Hirono (D-HI)

Johnson (D-SD)

Kaine (D-VA)

King (I-ME)

Klobuchar (D-MN)

Landrieu (D-LA)

Leahy (D-VT)

Levin (D-MI)

McCaskill (D-MO)

Menendez (D-NJ)

Merkley (D-OR)

Mikulski (D-MD)

Murphy (D-CT)

Murray (D-WA)

Nelson (D-FL)

Reed (D-RI)

Reid (D-NV)

Rockefeller (D-WV)

Sanders (I-VT)

Schatz (D-HI)

Schumer (D-NY)

Shaheen (D-NH)

Stabenow (D-MI)

Udall (D-CO)

Udall (D-NM)

Warner (D-VA)

Warren (D-MA)

Whitehouse (D-RI)

Wyden (D-OR)Folks, this needs to go viral. These Senators voted to let the UN take OUR guns. They need to lose their next election. We have been almost betrayed. 46 Senators Voted to Give your 2nd Amendment Constitutional Rights to the U.N.
Please send this to SOMEONE!

Good Morning

Cowboys did not play well. Garret was out coached, no other way to put it.

Procedure went sort of well. What should have taken half an hour ended up taking two hours. Apologies to all the other patients who then had to wait as the doctor was running later for the rest of the day. I am having to weara 4x4 gauze pad for a few days. People think I got beat up. :)

Strong coffee to go.

Good morning everyone!

soutxed, good luck with that growth! And to be honest, I kinda enjoyed the Cowboys loss last night. LOL j/k

Handiman, I'll take any of that snow you may not want! Just need to clean up these leaves first! HA!

CG, you must still be a young man! 45 miles? Whew! Good job!

The leaves fell in droves overnight! I think we finally might have less than a third of the way to go! I've got maybe 30 some bags out there waiting for the garbage dude tomorrow. I'll blow out the gutters today. Been lucky so far with no rain since the last gutter cleaning, although we can sure use any rain we get.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Handi, mnjr, jd, ladi, and everybuddy else coming in today. Very great weekend. I rode about 45 miles off road, and think I rode every trail that was open. Fabulous time. Weather was great also.

sout, I agree. Why can't a person do ads showing what they do good, instead of what the opponent is doing bad? Or making up what they do bad. Nice it was a good game.

moll, welcome. Hopefully you enjoy it here.

wmsb, nice to hear about your great weekend!

Splinter, hopefully Old Man Winter doesn't get his revenge. Luckily, we are still in Fall, so hopefully he won't have a case.

Good Morning everyone,

Another cool morning with temps in the high 60s here.

Headed to the doctor to get a very small growth removed. He does not think it is cancerous, but should be removed anyway.

Getting ready for the Cowboys games tonight. Odd how a team predicted to do so poorly is doing so well.

Grabbing golfer's doughnut and a cup of coffee.

The weather couldn't be more perfect for the end of October. Each day like this feels like we are stealing a day from Old Man Winter!

Good Morning Folks !

"National Mincemeat Day" ... So, just what is mincemeat?
It is a mixture of minced (or chopped up) meats, suet, and fruits.
The meat is usually beef, either ground up or sirloin.
Fruits include raisins, apples pear, and others.
Sometimes liquor is added, most commonly brandy or rum

I'll have my rum ration later on this evening please, Bunny.

Had a great craft show this past weekend at the Winery. It was cold and windy but we still had a lot of people show up both days so it was very profitable.

Splinter, didn't have time to play with the pro but will be playing this weekend. Temps in the upper forties this morning when we tee off but warming into the mid seventies by mid-day.

molllsy, welcome to the café too.

soutxed, hope both of you feel better soon.

CGRO, hope you have a great time and get a lot of riding in.

"National Bologna Day" ...
Properly spelled Bologna, it is sometimes spelled "Baloney". It is pronounced like the latter spelling. Bologna is a sausage and is commonly used as a luncheon meat. Mom and kids know it well.

Good Morning everyone

Appears to be a nice day in South Texas. A great night for high school football and the game I am working tonight has playoff implications for both teams. Pretty much the winner is still in and loser is most likely out.

Suppose to have left tomorrow to spend the weekend with our grand daughter at parents/grandparents day at her college, but with both of us suffering last week and my wife still not ready to travel, we will not make it this year. Hopefully, next Friday we can go to our youngest grand child's program.

Went to vote yesterday in what has been a pretty ugly governor's race and a county executive race here has turned ugly. Too bad we cannot have candidates run on positive issues.

Enough of that, some coffee and donuts.

Good morning Handi, jd, mnjr, and everyone else coming in today. MrsCG made it home safely yesterday, we chatted, and I get to head north to Cuyuna for 3 days of mtn biking, spending the nights at my brother's cabin I was at for part of the day last weekend. Taking half day today, and should be up there before 4:00 pm for a ride.

jd, probably a smart idea. I bike if it is foggy out, but I have lights and a flourescent yellow coat.

Handi, yes, it was a very sad day for Canada. Worthy rant! Good luck at physio

Good Morning,

Handiman. Agreed that we cannot judge all of a group by the actions of a few. Our prayers are also with your country and the families of those affected. But it shows we live in different times.

On a more upbeat note, wife seems to be doing better. Of course unlike TV, we now recovery will be a little improvement each day.

mornin all

sad day in our country yesterday with the death of the young soldier at the tomb of the unknown soldier on Parliament Hill

It shows us that terrorism is capable in even the most peaceful of countries and it is a wake up call to Canadians that we too are vulnerable to the terrible cowardly acts of cowards --- who cover their faces, kill innocents all in the name of a GOD of peace ( like those in Christianity that go overboard in their zealousness and screw the word of the Bible to match their twisted way of thinking) it is important to remember not to condemn all because of the actions of a few --- my thoughts and Prayers go out the Family and Friends and all those affected by the death of the young soldier and we as Canadians are still STRONG AND FREE

and I pray for the complete recovery of those wounded or hurt physically and mentally

Thanks for putting up with my rant

have a great day all

Good morning everyone!

CG, thanks, I couldn't be happier. I went online yesterday looking for little baby girl outfits. Today I'll spend some cash at Target online due to the new free shipping until Christmas policy there! Means I can get my baby girl an extra outfit or two for my baby grand girl! I'm certain every other retail outfit out there will follow suit, and soon hopefully. They're not going to want to loose that almighty dollar!

soutxed, hope the new sprays work out well for her!

Raining this morning, kinda, so now the dust might be turning to mud. That's fine by me! The dust around here, because of the street/curb construction, has been overwhelming at times! Especially with the kids flying by, some at speeds well above the limit! Speed traps again, I hope. A few more complaints to the local PD will do the trick...

Have a great day everyone! Later
