Pull up a chair, snap your fingers, "double latte" and lets hear whats on your mind. Gripes, comments, compliments, complaints, ideas? Lets get them out in the open and see if we can relate, have some fun, come to conclusions maybe, who knows.

golfer - I didn't get to watch any of the British Open but by the score, it looks like Rory killed it. How about the ageless Tom Watson?! He loves The Open!

According to weather.com, the current dew point is 73F. UGH.

BG - how was the river cruise?

soutxed - your summers are like our winters (extreme weather)

Kulas - sorry for your losses.

BGJam, supposed to be in the nineties Wednesday and Thursday then back to the mid to upper eighties for the rest of the week.

CGRO, last year at this time, we had triple heat indexes between 110 and 115. Weatherman said this is usually the hottest time of the year for us.

soutxed, will they still play with heat indexes that high?

MRGG, Read or heard that males daily intake of sugars should no more than 25g's. Drink one regular soda and that's out the window! Women's is around 23g's. Said natural sugars are ok.

Good Morning Folks !

"National Junk Food Day" ... For some of us, every day is Junk Food Day.

CGrover
I am letting a couple peaches ripen a bit more before grilling them which I may do on Wednesday.

This warm humid weather is good for tomatoes.
I had better go check on mine.

Get the hammock dusted off please, Bunny.

Good Morning

Getting up early was the plan, but slept late. Phone call (wrong number) woke me.

One more evening off before minor league baseball begins.

Glad to see so many of you can get out, but our heat index yesterday was 115 or something. NWS advised caution in all activities.

Coffee by the A/C.

Good morning Handi and everybuddy else coming in today. Heat advisory's here today. Heat index could reach 105°F. Trail work cancelled for this evening. I was able to get out on a group ride with 11 others on Saturday and then rode with MrsCg and two other friends on Sunday. Good times.

Handi, I didn't know honey do lists were limited in scope? Home from camp tired and miserable? That doesn't sound all correct.

sout, thanks for the ice cream!

MrGG, how were the peaches?

We stopped and ate a few blackberries along the trail yesterday. A lot more on the way. Last Wed during the group ride, we did the same.

Kulas, welcome. Sorry to hear about your mom and her dog.

Have a GREAT day everybuddy!

Good Morning,

45th anniversary of the moon walk, seems like yesterday.

More hot weather today so will probably stay inside and read or watch TV.

My wife's allergies are really bothering her. Saw on GB that allergies cause a driver to be impaired. So I guess that will keep her from driving herself to the mall. :)

Coffee and donuts today.

Great river cruise yesterday and today with the big national shindig on Harriet Island we're gonna have a tough time getting to the boat. I'll probably just wait till late afternoon before headin' over there. Accuweather is predicting very hot and humid weather for the next couple of days. Oughta be great for river cruising!

Good Morning

SATURDAY ALREADY! Week went quickly.

Thunder last night while we were at a local playhouse watching Godspell. No rain at the house, very little at the theater.

More politicians coming to the area to check out the humanitarian/refugee/illegal alien crisis here. More hot air means are triple digits may be even hotter.

Coffee by the A/C. Breakfast tacos for everyone.

Good Morning Folks !

"National Caviar Day" ... I wonder if ice cream comes in a caviar flavor.

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day, calling for all people of the United States to observe these events with "appropriate ceremonies and activities."

I am going to try peaches roasted on the grill soon.

Coffee please, Bunny.

Good Morning,

Being semi-retired, honey do list show up almost everyday. Made a dent in some of them. Then the church called to tell me the staff meeting was canceled so I had to do more. Am a non-paid employee of the church.

Some of the list needed to be done early before the hot temps set in.

Local grocery chain is claiming today is "National Ice Cream Day."

Creamy Vanilla for everyone. Have a good day,

Good morning ladi and everybuddy else coming in today. Great group ride last night, 4 riders new to the trail, including one rider in town from CO. He has rode in 40 states, and is trying to get all 50.

MrGG, I now like (don't mind) fresh spinach, but do not enjoy it at all cooked.

wmsb, thank you. I think I will. There seems to be a lot of fun options.

Handi, oh man, what a bummer. But, it is up now... Glad to see you were not defeated by the not so easy up.

MrGG, that sounds like a strange holiday. I know some people that always asked for their burger missing something normal, like pickles, so they would receive a fresh one.

Good Evening Folks !

"Pandemonium Day" ... a day of sheer bedlam, and utter chaos. If ever there was a wild and wacky, unorganized day, today is that day.

The french fry survey had listed McDonalds as #1.
I love fries fresh and hot from the fryer and to get them that way in a fast food place ask for them with "no Salt".
That way your fry order will be packed from a fresh batch before salt is applied.
(you can always grab a salt pack and add your own)

A frosty cold one with a mushroom swiss burger please, Bunny.

afternoon/evening all

Frustrated !!!!!!!! easy up screen house my butt !!!!!!!!! it's like trying to open a child proof cap --- it can't be done easily or on the first try. Blue language and an hour later I have the legs turned the way they were supposed top be in the first place, some practical joker at the manufacturing plant turned them all inside out and didn't tie the peak ( which you can't notice till the blasted thing is up)so I have to take it half down to tie the peak and then put it up again and of course I have the door pointing the wrong way so I also have to turn it a 1/4 turn and we all know what is going to happen :(

thanks CG and Sou -- took mrs, oldest daughter and future SIL (hoping and Praying) and handi jr for supper last night, had a beef steak for the first time in 5 years

MrGG --- here are the spud chip rankings according to handi 1)reg cut family restaurant type fries 2)McDs fries 3)Wendy's 4) Burger King 5)Dub --- sweet spud fries are good drowned in ketchup --- crinkle cut suck big time

Bunny join me by the pool with at least one DOUBLE Captain Morgan dark and a frustrated CRYING TOWEL

later all ( if I survive the screen house)

if I don't show tomorrow morning, you'll know I was defeated by a hunk of screen and plastic ( PRAY FOR ME PLEASE)

I like the french fries from Five Guys Burger.

A week off from baseball, but a busier time at church. Also, helping a family member with getting a new floor installed.

Hopefully a trip to the beach before the week ends.

ladi, creative!

wmsb, I like that plan.

Handi, happy belated anniversary!!

MrGG, I also like sweet potato fries. The mrs loves McD's fries the best. I like a thicker fry. Can't think of a favorite place... I like crispy on the outside, mashed potato on the inside...
