Pull up a chair, snap your fingers, "double latte" and lets hear whats on your mind. Gripes, comments, compliments, complaints, ideas? Lets get them out in the open and see if we can relate, have some fun, come to conclusions maybe, who knows.

Good morning sout, Handi, and everybuddy else coming in today. Snow began as I was biking to the bus this am. 1-3 this morning, and 1-3 this afternoon during rush hour. Gonna be cold tomorrow!

Sid, close to Ladysmith. In between Ladysmith and Rice Lake. Yep, it can get cold there. Not much different than here in the city, or outside of the city. They live at the cabin now. Small world!

Have a GREAT Thanksgiving everybuddy!

Good Morning

Gas continues to go down here. Just in time for a road trip to our daughter and son's for TG.

Worked first High school basketball game of the season. Glad they went quick and were lopsided. Teams and officials get scrimages to practice, but scoreboard people start with a regular season game.

Cooler temps for travel today.

Good Afternoon Folks !

"National Parfait Day" ... and I was just wondering when it was....

A toaster over works just fine for the biscuits.
I gave this recipe to a clerk in a grocery store the other day.
Hope she likes it even though she expressed surprise at how simple it is.

An hour of nap time in the hammock please, Bunny.

Splinter, that recipe is real good - that's what I did this morning.

CG, your in-laws live in Ladysmith, Wisconsin? geewhiz it gets cold there.

My brother-in-law is from Ladysmith.

Splinter, if I would have left on time, I would have been able to ride 8 miles with the wind. Leaving 2 hours later than normal, and worried about my light not making it, I took the shorter route, which meant 3 miles in to the wind.

We go to the cabin, where the inlaws now live, so a 2 hour drive in WI.

Gas actually went up yesterday for us. Only 6¢, but $2.75 is still cheaper than last year.

Sid, good to hear!

MrG - I've made your biscuits and gravy recipe before and it is delish!

golfer - good luck against the Pro. Hope I play more than twice next season. Sorry about your loss.

soutxed - we're just driving across town for Thanksgiving

CG - pretty windy yesterday. Must have made bike riding tough.

Good Morning

CG, at least you made it home and into the Cafe this morning.

DB Cooper did jump out of a 727 with a suitcase full of money. Never been found.

How many are traveling for Thanksgiving? At least the price of gas has come down.

coffee & some gas guy biscuits this morning.

Good morning Handi, and everybuddy else coming in today. Battery for head light turned yellow on the way in to work yesterday. That means it is almost dead. Rechargeable. Figuring I would get home fine, because I only need the light for a little bit, after it gets dark. Well, worked 2 hours late, and entire ride was in the dark. I made it home without the battery going to red, which means you are moments away from being done. Dad is turning 80 today. Surprise party on Saturday for him.

sout, at least they are talking.

BG, thank you. And the same wishes for you and your family.

Sid, I would put them in the oven.

wmsb, sorry to hear of your loss. Interesting little mix of ties. I don't see any time to ride, actually. Driving to the cabin Wed eve, Thanksgiving at the cabin Thur. Hunting season, and only hiways to ride, so not a good time for that up there, in the winter, Home Friday, and start prepping for Dad's bday party Sat. Party all day Saturday. Sunday back to football.

Have a great day everybuddy!

Best friends father passed away yesterday. His mother, who passed 4 years ago was my third grade teacher and mine was his third grade teacher.

Splinter, still hope to play with the pro on Friday.

CGRO, hope y'all are able to ride during the holiday weekend.

soutxed, that was one of the best catches I've every seen.

Good Evening Folks !

"D.B. Cooper Day" ... who remembers him?

Sid
Is this what you're looking for?

1 lb Jimmy Dean sausage ( I use regular )

1 10-3/4 oz can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup

1 soup can milk

Brown the sausage, pour off or soak up excess fat if desired, add soup and up to a full can of milk

Simmer and serve over biscuits

I have used Bisquick drop biscuits and Pillsbury Grand refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, enjoying them both, but am always looking for a very good home recipe for biscuits to serve with this gravy.

Surprise me please, Bunny.

Good Cowboy win, but all the talk is Odel Beckham's catch.

Waiting for the yardman to come and trim some bushes in the back yard. He has much better tools for it than me.

Started shopping for the grand children yesterday at the local Target store.

Good morning Handi, and everybuddy else coming in today. Temps down to 28°F this am. I think we reached 50 yesterday, but very foggy and gloomy. Except the Packers won, so it was all good. went for a nice ride on Sat in 37° temps. Rode a paved trail.

Sid, such is life I guess. At least you are still in contact with them...

MrGG, dang, missed Thursday's holiday. That would have been a fun one to celebrate. And I didn't get to go for a ride on Friday! Great anthem!

ross, missed you too. The place is always open!

Good Morning,

Heavy thunderstorms last night. Was lucky we were able to drive home in between lines. Some damage in the area, but none at our house.

Gas Guy, it is a big effort by a local grocery chain. We usually go early to help set up, do what we can during the first hour of feeding then leave as other volunteers come in to work. So to answer your question, I don't known if there are any leftovers.

Hot coffee please.

first MAJOR snow fall overnight looks like about 3-4 inches ( enough to shovel "groan") --- I know it's about that much because the cats stick their heads out and come back in fast "smile" and the little female gets snobbish and swaggers down to the litter box and makes a terrible mess

hope you all have a great day

We have temps above freezing for the first time in 2 weeks. This has been the longest streak of sub-freezing November temps since the 1880's. There's something to be proud of...

Good Morning

Beautiful day yesterday and another one expected today. We will probably be out in the yard working this morning while listening to Christmas Carols.

Helped with the local Feast of Sharing where over 7000 Thanksgiving meals were served. Tonight, NBA D League basketball.

Coffee to go, leaving breakfast tacos for everyone as it appears some of you need a hot breakfast.

Good Morning Folks !

"Absurdity Day" ... Isn't it totally absurd? Crazy or not, Absurdity Day is staring you right in the face.
Celebrate this day in an absurd manner. Don't sit back waiting for something absurd to happen. Rather, seek out things to do that are somewhat, if not wholly, illogical. Have fun with it. But, whatever you do, don't try to make sense with it.

Good Morning

Boston is in the midwest where? Must be some athletic conference.

SILs are doing better, but like my wife, they have good days and bad days. Most of the time, vertigo hits at night while trying to sleep.

Got a tree taken down yesterday. Was not sure we could do it alone, but it was soooo dead, piece of cake. Then had to repair the gate lock as it was damaged taking the tree pieces out. If it is not one thing, it is another.

Coffee and pancakes please.

CGRO, just been very busy with work and Mom's been in the hospital and just came home yesterday.

Splinter, we're going to NJ for Thanksgiving and the pro and I are supposed to play on Saturday, weather permitting.

Another cool morning. But nothing like Buffalo so I am not complaining.

Took turkeys to the family for them to make on TG. Found out three Sister in laws are not feeling well. They all have the same vertigo as my wife. Must run in the family.

Waiting for the AT&T tech again. Phone line has a lot of static again. Glad I dropped AT&T uverse internet.

Good morning Handi, and everybuddy else coming in today. Today is the coldest day of winter so far, 8°F but the Real Feel is -11° It felt less windy to me this am. MrsCG enjoyed her gifts and cupcakes I brought home from Wuollet's Bakery. They serviced the bike ride perfectly.

Sid, is his garage heated?
