Pull up a chair, snap your fingers, "double latte" and lets hear whats on your mind. Gripes, comments, compliments, complaints, ideas? Lets get them out in the open and see if we can relate, have some fun, come to conclusions maybe, who knows.

We had a great time as usual. Didn't know we'd be returning to near freezing temps though.

Splinter, missed the eclipse because of the rain. Glad Bubba won a second jacket.

Good Morning Folks !

"Titanic Remembrance Day" ... The Titanic was called "unsinkable" and the "safest ship afloat" by her builder and designer. However, on her maiden voyage from England to New York City, the cruise ship Titanic hit an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean. This occurred on April 14, 1912 at 11:40p.m. Two hours later, with a gaping gash in her side, the ship quickly sank in icy waters. 1522 passengers and crew died.

"Rubber Eraser Day" ... Tax day is a good day for this one.

I saw the eclipse, very impressive.

Good thing the MN Twins have an open air stadium. Now they can blame their poor performance on the cold weather!

Good Morning,

No, we did not stay up for the lunar eclipse as it was cloudy and the odds of seeing it were poor.

Woke up to 50 degree temps this morning. Will enjoy it while it last since the hot days coming soon.

Probably for the last time, Hot coffee by the fire place.

Good morning everybuddy! Short week for me this week. We have Good Friday off. Had a good weekend, got out for a 30 mile ride yesterday. Windy, cloudy, but fun. Orthopedic appt tomorrow to have the finger looked at.

Rt118, I just got a Cannondale CAAD X, it is a cross bike. I have been riding a Specialized Sirrus, a commuter, for the past 7 years. I bike and bus to get to work. In the morning I go at least 3.4 miles, up to around 5. In the afternoon, I can take that route, or several other busses to different location for more of a ride, or I can ride all the way home in 28 miles. Nice ride. The morning takes about 20 minutes, the entire trip home takes about 2 hours.

BG, Rift Raft, nice name! It will be strange to not experience any flooding this year. Nice.

MrGG, i had also heard Sat was Nat'l Grilled Cheese Day. We celebrated, without even knowing until after we had a sammiches.

sout, hope you feel better soon.

Have a great day everybuddy!

BGJam, yes I remember your brother showing me your boat across the river from St. Paul.

That was about 12-13 years ago. It's been a while since I've been to MSP.

Later folks, I have yardwork to complete at the Bone farm, if you know what I mean?!?

Howdy Folks

Yup, Sid, the river is completely ice free, and, better yet, our upper harbor (where my boat is berthed) is completely ice free also. Our marina will start splashing boats as early as the 15th, but I'll need to get some mechanical work done before the Riff Raft is ready to go in. So, I'm looking at about two weeks from now, when, hopefully, the night time temps will stay above freezing. The river is up a couple of feet now, but the Army Corps of Engineers predicts NO flooding this year! I'm looking forward to boating season!

A nightcap before bedtime, please, Bunny

Good Morning Folks

The ice is out half of our upper harbor and the marina is ready to start launching boats on the 15th of this month. No flooding this year from all the projections, so I'm looking forward to getting back out on the river. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to entice Psycho Sid to come out for a couple of cruises. The rest of you are welcome also. Just let me know when you're available.
