going to PT at 4PM for that SI joint issue. Hope this helps! If no, then radio wave ablation is next. That degrades the nerves so you do not hurt until they regenerate. Something about that idea bothers me.

wishing this was Friday...

Wow Dick, thought it was already official. Hope they didn't lose your app :\

Silverdog, sorry no help - don't even know what that is! Good luck w/it.

Roadieboy, these girls are w/you for only a month while the parents are on vacation, right? One day you're gonna get one that you & your wife are able to turn around; you'll be rewarded in the end by a Higher Being.

Hope everyone else is doing OK :)

doing OK. I think what ever was bugging my lower GI tract is finally out of my system Phew, and in more ways than one!

Yes, Outtacash, I am still in the application process to the Mayflower society. The Massachusetts branch has approved my application, but it is in Plymouth waiting for the national society final approval. Do not know who long that will take.

Roadieboy - I hope she understood that it still raised the anxiety level a bit. Hope the family visit goes very well and does not break the bank too much......

Silverdog - Nope, never used one of those.

Hoping Pard, CH, and TM are doing well!

at work.

Everything seems to be fine at home, she really just went to a friends and lost rack of time.
I guess if it was our youngest son that did the same thing, we would just have told him to call next time and let it go.
The whole 'being placed' in our home makes things different, even though we try to make things as normal as we can.
These girls are not in care because of their actions, but the actions of their parents or parent. These are two of the nicest girls you could ever want to meet.
Our boy was worried because we had just had such a disappointing time with the last girl, he was afraid that this would be twice as bad, but it is 100 times better. (his words)

Our oldest son and his wife are coming this weekend for Christmas, and so are the Grandchildren!
Good thing there is still an other pay cheque coming this month!
Long distance spoiling is cheaper!

Well back to work, good night all.

making spaghetti sauce in a new electric roaster oven, that was actually bought for doing a turkey for Christmas supper. I've never used one of these things before, but it seems to be working just fine. I use hamburger in my recipe and it browned it just as well as my cast iron spaghetti pot, despite the fact that the heating elements are in the side-walls of the unit rather than the bottom like an electric frying pan etc. This one is a Salton 18 qt. size. I was told that some makes are available with elements in the lid, but I haven't seen anything like that in the stores around here.

Anyone else familiar with these things?

mellow...

Shocking, I know LOL. Daily Drama, hereafter referred to as DD, continues... but getting a call from a very VERY dear friend the past 3 eves has made everything better :)

TM, you into Ancestry too? I was but lost the Tree in a PC crash years ago. Had 2 experts try to retrieve it but the crash was right there. Did I do Back Up?? Pfffft. Two relatives who helped me have since passed on so never tried again. Awesome that you were able to get that info! I think Dick is now a member of some Mayflower Society!

Dick, you get that tooth fixed yet? We won't even go there about root canals; have had several then ya gotta get Crowns on 'em as they deteriorate. Big bucks there. Hope you're feeling better now that you're all cleansed!

CH, laughing at your post on the 13th!! Had to Google the Pitts woman, never heard of her!

Pard, does indeed sound yummy!

Roadieboy, hope things are back to a semi-normal state for you.

Good night all!

a bit tired this morning. My innards decided to "cleanse" last night so I did not sleep well. Up and down, to and from the bathroom. Surprisingly, not that sore otherwise today after 2 days of skiing.

I had a good day skiing and am inside for the afternoon. Might go out and run an errand to two, but no more exercise for the day.

working for a friend at a Christmas party.

One of our girls went missing earlier.
My wife was driving all over the city with her sister looking for her, and was able to find her.
It is not like her, I don't have the whole story, but she for sure was not running away, just went out after school with her friends.

I will know more later.

Goodnight

stuffed. Had lunch with CelticHeart and Phoe-Phoe, what a wonderful spread! Kielbasa, 3 kinds of pierogi, sauerkraut with tomatoes, bacon and onions, sour cream, beet horseradish, and tapioca for dessert.

Thank you, CH, it was tremendous!

home for the night.

65 years ago today my parents were married.
We lost my Mother in 1992, and my Father in 2006.

I have one of their wedding presents on my TV stand, a 'mantle clock'.
Don't have a mantle, but there is a fireplace on my TV right now.

Goodnight all.

dry. We had over 5 inches of rain since yesterday morning, but my house is dry inside. NEighbors are busy with sump pumps, and some roads are flooded, but nothing more than usual for a storm of that size. Some mountains did get a lot of snow. Then one I ski at a lot only got 4 inches, then rain. :>(

Dentist will require a return trip as a tooth that has been off and on bothering me has a "suspicious" spot that he is going to drill out and refill. The filling just seems a bit "soft" to him. Might explain why it bothers me at times. Would rather have it fixed now then become an issue and need a root canal. I've been lucky to never have a root canal.

aching a bit this morning, but I had a good weekend of skiing. Hope the aches die down a bit soon. Also looking at the weather. Looks like we will get mostly all rain from this upcoming storm. Am hoping the mountains get mostly all snow

CH - Did not see typo's. Know that feeling of not being able to see when you don't have glasses on!

Roadieboy - Hope these two girls remain well behaved and a joy to have. Who knows, their clean habits might wear off......

hoping TM got back from her walk OK.

back at work, (well I have been here for 8 hours, three to go.)

We have two young girls staying with us for a month while their foster parents go to South America for a visit. The husband is from South America and they would have loved to take the girls, but the Red Tape is too thick.

These girls are so nice and polite, and neat! It is so nice not to walk around picking up after three teenagers. Now we only have to pick up after one, and we have been doing that since he was born.

We are looking into the possibility of the three of us going somewhere warm once the girls go home. We have the ability to take cheap vacations to Mexico AND Cuba from Canada.
I would like to see Cuba before Castro dies and the US forgives them, and moves back in and takes over the tourist industry again.

Well back to work.

Good night all.

TM's muffins sound like they will be tasty!

Going to the primary care doc today for an update visit on my SI joint issue. She is on a different E-record system than the others. E-Records are good until they are not! Hope to get a good "differing" opinion from her.
