feeling more refreshed today. Spent yesterday at my daughters across town for the grand sons third birthday party. The kid has more toys than Toys R Us now.

Oh Pard, I do hope life settles in a little for you. Does not sound like fun.

Panj, I also hope it settles for you too.

TM - That airplane shoot down is inexcusable. Russia and Putin need to wake up before they kill more innocent people. So Sad.

anxious also, ElHubdud has so many medical issues, and there is also some family discord, and so I thank goodness for Xanax. Only take one when it's really needed, so a scrip last me a long time. But when I'm at the end of my rope, it helps so much. I am the one everyone comes to with their problems, and it wears me out.

enjoying a quiet morning at home.

Our foster daughter is at a summer camp for a week in Alberta, and Jonny has gone to Nova Scotia to visit his aunt and uncle (my wife's sister).

He should have a blast because his uncle is an officer in the Coast Guard and he is going to take him out on a Zodiac inflatable boat, that they use for search and rescue, and of course he will go on CCGS Terry Fox .

Yes TM I hope some rain comes your way, or to the interior and the north of BC.
The smoke from some NWT fires has made its way down here and there was an air advisory, something we almost never get in Regina.

I guess the only thing worse than a 'scope' surgery is what ever they did before scopes were invented.
Either way it is not something I want to try, EVER!

Time for another coffee, have a great day everyone.

Pard, no worries w/the memory bank here I'll remember :)

Gizella, that is tooo funny! Thank you!! :)

Dick, good idea to have it checked out again before permanent damage is done :o\

Was a very nice 73° today. Supposed to rain most of tomorrow, sure wish I could send it up to BC where it's desperately needed.

Wishing you all a good Saturday :)

thinking we could have shared some of our 1.8 inches the other day. We are a bit on the dry side here, but not that bad. Finally drying out enough today to do a little yard maintenance. Need to weed the garden before they take over. They are not bad now. Also have a few other little chores to get to.

TM - Praying for some rain for you guys. Hopefully without T-Storms so noting gets "lit".

sitting and watching it rain. We needed the water. Looks like we missed a lot of what New England got, but we also missed the flooding some got. Mostly just urban street flooding and some of the storms downed trees. Will check the rain gauge later to see what we did get. Free lawn water is always welcome.

Pard - I hate the "scope" surgery. Too the doc a while, and I have one area that still bothers me from time to time. I had badly torn the rotator cuff. While they fix that, they also fix the upper bicep tendon. That still bothers me. I think there is scar tissue that is bothering the tendon sheath giving me close to permanent tendonitis. I guess I should contact the doc and have him look it over again. Its been three years. The rotator part seems fine though. Had the other one done the year prior and it is OK. Of course the second one was "shredded" according to the doc.

Hope others are having a good day.

having to change the calendar for EH's surgery, the location had changed so the date did too, now it is August 19th.

The first surgery was laproscopic, hoping the most minimally invasive procedure would work. It didn't. So now he needs something more invasive, but hopes are high that this should correct the problem. Gosh, do I EVER hope so!!

Enjoying this beautiful day, cool temps, but very sunny and pretty. Might make a cuppa jasmine green tea, and enjoy the rest of the day.

Blessings!

An innocent man..until proven guilty LOL. Hope your migraine subsided, awful things :( Just called the doc's office to get a new script for mine.

<<that 'thing' is taunting me..just landed on my screen..ughhhhh!>>

TM, you hand wash cars huh?? Feel free to come & visit..anytime!! Good grief, it's only 73°F here & that's the high for the day..Mason is still enjoying the A/C, go figure

Pard, you are most welcome :) I'll remember the date of EH's surgery (ssshhhhh, it's son's b-day).

Wishing the best for CH & Gizella :-)

Hope Roadieboy & anyone else visiting here had a great day!!

an innocent man..... Always think of that when I see the thread title. Thanks Billy Joel. Really humid here today. We had that move in yesterday. Even with the A/C, I still ended up with a migraine. Grrrrr. Feeling a bit of pressure in the head this morning like it wants to come back. Already took the Excedrin&tm; and so far so good. Looks like it stays humid today and maybe tonight we start to get some of the front trying to come through. Tomorrow morning looks wet with clearing and drying by afternoon. Hope so. Hate the humid weather.

Outtacash - Want to borrow my Charlie? He is a two year old cat that chases anything that moves. No housefly is safe with Charlie on the job, Have not seen one survive yet.

Roadieboy - When I used to swim, I was in the best shape of my life. I actually had abs, not a keg like I have now. It also helped the back quite a bit. See if you can get some pool time and make it a habit.

Pard - Glad to have both you and your sister as part of this thread. You both bring interesting and fun things here. I do also pray that EH's docs get it right this time. I also pray he is not in too much pain after the surgery.

Wes03 - Ditto. Actually its time to make another cup. Think I will make some French Vanilla.

dangerous...

got the fly swatter in one hand as I type; I am gonna get that sucker yet!
Gotta find out where they're coming in, it's the 2nd one today. Earlier Mason just sat there watching one flyin' low - always said he'd never hurt a fly :)

Roadieboy & Dick, the procrastination lasted until today!!! Yesterday was a bust also lol.

Pard, 'surgery' is bad enough, don't like when the word "more" is added to it :( Prayers that all goes well for hubby. Belated Happy 44th, awesome!!

Still keep all of you in my prayers :-)

Hoping EH has successful shoulder surgery. I had the left rotator cuff done in 2011. Its better, but still not quite right.

Hoping Sandra is infection FREE her next doctor visit.

Hey Roadieboy, swimming is good for bad backs IF you have a place you can do that! I do not unfortunately.

Hoping Outtacash has finally gotten to SOMETHING!

telling Targetsmom that lavender does grow well in Michigan, but the hard winter took the plants I had.

As far as EH's surgery, the date is August 18th. And this past April, we were married 44 years. Whew!

Belated congrats to Mr and Mrs Dickc, too!

taking a break, as daughter and her family are off to a local Polish Festival. Happy belated anniversary, CelticHeart and Phoe-Phoe!

Been SUCH a busy week, kids will be leaving Monday morning, we won't see them again for a long time, as ElHubdud needs more shoulder surgery, and we for sure won't be able to travel, kids live 780 miles away.

We went to a local Lavender Festival yesterday, that was a wonderful thing for being able to be quiet and lovely and everything smelled so good! Just what the doctor ordered.

at work, on a quick short shift.

Yes Dickc I went to bed early last night and feel much better today. I need one of those breathing machines while I sleep, but have never got around to buying one.
As long as I have 8 hours or so I am fine.

Dickc, back problems are the worst. It hurts to sit or stand or walk or lay down. I was going to try floating, but pot is still against the law here.

Ottacash, try putting off procrastinating until tomorrow.

pretty sore this morning. Moved wrong while mowing yesterday. Ducked under the side of the lilac, and my back told me about it right away. It was telling me more about it last night and its still telling me about it now. Durn drama queen of a back.
Going to have to be careful of it for a few days as this is sciatic pain which is never a good sign. Muscle pain I can deal with as I know it will clear in a few days.

Roadieboy - Hope you feel a whole lot better after a good night sleep. Sometimes that is just what the doctor orders.

CH - Happy Anniversary! Ours was three weeks ago. 33 years. How far behind you are we?

TargetsMom - Grandkids are a blast until they are underfoot for too long. But you get to send them home! Ours are here every weekday afternoon to help cut the cost of day care. Will have both the three Y/O's next week and the new baby in the mornings. Daughter has to go back to work Monday. Her 12 weeks of maternity leave are over. Nicholas is a pretty good kid. He does not cry too much nor demand too much attention.

feeling better.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone.

The weather here in Saskatchewan looks like summer has arrived.

The Craven Valley Country Music Festival, or what ever it is called now, is notorious for having heavy rain and a mud pit to camp in.
I am happy for Troy, my good friend and organizer of the concert.

I worked 7 Craven concerts and 8 Big Valley's in Camrose Alberta in the 90's and early 2000's. (as well as countless other out door events)
I would usually be soaked thru by the end of the first day and not clean or dry until two days after they were over.
It is a young person's job.

Off to home.

Our anniversary today.

Still more than two months of camping to go.

Younger sister got mad at me for not answering her texts. Just don't have connections at camp all the time. In some fairly remote area for connectivity.

We have some nice weather here today. High about 80F, (26C). Low humidity and it may drop some more. Looks to stay nice into sometime sunday before the humidity comes back. Good time to get some chores done provided my back lets me. It has been mad at me lately.

Hope everyone else is holding up OK.

at work.

This was the hardest it has been for me to get up in years.
I would have phoned in 'sick' at any other job, but that has almost never been an option any job I have had.
Little pain pill, little coffee and I still feel like crap.

I will try moving around.

Good morning.
