looking forward to the football game tomorrow!

I also am looking forward to playoff baseball.
There is something on TV worth watching in the afternoon, and watching night games, going into extra innings, with the temperature falling into the 50's and lower.
Maybe cheer for the Nationals, pretend they are still the Expos.
Bluejays are all but out of the wild card race.

Maybe Detroit vs Washington for the World Series

worried about Mason...

a week ago he self-mutilated himself, on his right side & top of his tail :(
Has a 7" long X 2" wide totally bald spot w/sores, and a 2" long bald spot w/sores on his tail. On Saturday got a cortisone shot & 3 weeks of Cephalexin; Vet says it's dermatitis. I don't think so. He hasn't picked at it in a few days but it still looks horrible. Thinking about getting a 2nd opinion...

Dick, hope all turns out well for you. Prayers :)

Take care everyone :)

waiting for next Tuesday when I get my first injection. It appears I also have some arthritis that is causing an issue too. The first injection will be for that as the "test" for the arthritis is only about 50% accurate. If the injection works however...... After a few weeks to see the results I will have the spinal steroid injection too.

Hoping everyone else is doing well!

getting more from the garden right now than we can eat. We will probably go into October before we frost at the house.

I also see the pain management people tomorrow afternoon. Will be a consult only. Will find out the hows, whys, and the when.

at work.

Things are getting back to a more regular schedule.
It goes from almost nothing in the summer, to 16 hour days in the blink of an eye.
I remember thinking 10 years ago that I was getting too old for this, now it seems that I still have 10 more years to go before any kind of retirement.
Then I remember thinking that I will never retire, that is for 'older' people.
Maybe something in between is in order.

TM, the Riders pooped the bed big time yesterday.
Young Tino looked lost out there sometimes. (most times)

Dick, we have been covering our tomatoes and peppers at night for a week.
We have had frost two or three times now.
We have had a batch of tasty peppers, but our tomatoes were on the small side. (but tasty too)

I hope everyone has had a good summer.

Have a great day.

Needing to cal both a doc that does the cortisone, and a neurosurgeon. As we are getting worse, not better, a neuro may decide we should not wait. The neurologist office does NOT do the surgeries. Think I may call the neurosurgeon first as it would kind of be a waste of time to call the other guys if the surgeon says to fix it now.

Something moved a bit Sunday when I was doing some of my exercises. I hurt more, and it does not seem to be clearing up. That alone is why the neurologist office says see the neurosurgeon too.

Will also call my sister out in the western part of the state. Will see if I can e-mail her a picture or two from the DVD. She is a doctor. She is NOT a neurosurgeon, but she will know exactly what she is looking at. I want her opinion, and I want to know what doctors she knows out this way. Nice to have trustworthy family!

My tomatoes are still growing, but will fade in another week or two. The pepper plants should go to early October when a killing frost is most likely. Have a lot of good peppers ripening on them!

going back to the neurologist today as PT is not helping. Probably looking at a cortisone shot to see if it will calm things down somewhat. Will find out at 1:30.

happy to report that ElHubdud is now out of the hospital and into rehab. He is getting to be a regular there. But he's tired of having to have anything at all to do with hospitals and rehab, and just wants to be HOME. Still can't walk.

a bit miffed. The eye doc said the lens was either made wrong or mounted wrong, but he changed the prescription for the eye. I am glad I am not paying anything for either him or the new lens. Wish I knew what was really going on!

going back to the eye doc as my new glasses did not make me see better. The glasses ARE made to the RX too. Something is wrong. Need him to take another look. Hoping its just that the tech blew the "test the RX choices" part.

sore today. All I did was cut half the lawn and put out the trash. I am a bit pissed. PT is supposed to help this but has seemingly don nothing. Grrr.

Son s doing better. Still has some color in his leg, so he is calling his primary today for a follow up.

Hope CH gets some rest, AND some relaxation!

Glad PArd is dry. Hoping EH is doing better too!

happy my son is out of the hospital. He stayed overnight with his girlfriend. Also a good thing. He's handicapped but has found a nice girl. She is handicapped too. They are quite happy with each other.

Also was finally able to solve a pesky issue with my new PC yesterday. Had installed a Microsoft update earlier in the month that really messed with a few things. The update was withdrawn by Microsoft it was so bad. Think I finally have the machine stable again.

Hope everyone has a peaceful Labor Day weekend. I do hope EH is getting better, Sandra is growing stronger, and that CH is feeling better.
