still fighting off a cluster migraine. 4 days is quite enough! Not really painful, but enough to stifle the desire to do much.

happy I had my wisdom teeth out in '77. I had to take a full week off work. My ma came over and brought me a huge apple, a bag of doritos and some taffy. Then she started telling me cornball jokes. I never knew she'd be that funny.

Getting ready for a renters meeting. Don't know what that's all about.

sitting quietly in my living room. I had my wisdom teeth out nearly 40 years ago. Had a dry socket with it. I know how the pain can be. Hoping Calinda heals quickly.

Hi to everyone else!

happy that Roadieboy had a day off.

Also happy that Calinda's surgery is now in the past. Once you are over this misery, you will feel so much better. The rough part is keeping the faith that the pain will stop! I've had wisdom teeth removed, it ain't no picnic, and Calinda has my sympathy.

back at work.

I guess one full day off will have to do.
I guess I should be happy that someone seems to want me.
The day will come when the phone stops ringing

Read Pards post about the snow in Michigan, just now it has started snowing here in Regina.
No where near a record for us this year though.

Calinda, there are days I wish I had Elvis's doctor, or maybe Michael Jackson's.
My doctor is too sensible and concerned about my long term health.

Well goodnight all.

suffering miserably. Had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday; and it was anything but easy. Doc gave me hydrocodone for pain; and I was sick sick sick all last night; until I remembered I had a couple Darvons stowed in my medicine cabinet.

I hope everyone is okay. Pardon me for not reading back posts, but I just took my meds, and they will be kicking in soon.

Pard: you have great restraint.... enough said.

Good night everyone, from La La Land....

awake!

My wife let me sleep in this morning.

I was thinking that not that many years ago I worked 16 to 18, even 24 hour shifts AND had a few beer during or after work.
This weekend I walked in the door and went straight to bed
, and last beer I had was St Patrick week. ( I think)

Well couch is calling.

Good night.

wishing that warmer temps and higher humidity did not raise the allergen levels. I am feeling a mild headache and really need to go out and finish my raking. I hate doing so may make the headache worse. Dang mold allergy! Only have the balance of the back yard to do. Then lime on the backyard. The front and sides are raked and limed.

Calinda - Spring raking is needed around here to "fluff" up the lawn and scratch by the roots to aerate them . It also rakes out any winter kill and lets you know if you have bare spots. It is really necessary up here for a good start to the lawn. It is just now starting to show some greening up.

Roadieboy - Pleasant dreams! Hope you wake up reasonably rested. After that many long days in a row, it will take more than one night for a full restore.

Pard - Hope you have caught up with the resting. All of my family lives nearby so we see them regularly and do not get "overdone".

Celtic_Heart - Boy do you do a lot for others! I have my hands full at home a lot of the time. We have the grand kids every afternoon (both going on three, my handicapped son lives at home, and my wife is severely type two bi-polar. Don't know what this soul did in a prior life but it must have needed some rehabilitation in this one! Will probably not go to church for Easter Sunday services, but I do think about what HE gave up for us. Find too many hypocrites in church. I am sure The Lord can hear me just fine without my presence in a church.

TargetsMom - Had a pretty good weekend. Saturday was mid 50's and great spring snow for skiing. Sunday was a morning of heavy wet snow with poor visibility and not as much fun. THe year end big BBQ held by the mountain on Sunday was still fun however!

happy.

A beautiful Palm Sunday it is. Service was truly blessed this morning. We had a wonderful pancake breakfast and following was the Lord's Supper. Wow...

I talked to the Deacons after the breakfast this morning. They have given me the leftover sausage, butter, eggs and milk for me to use to feed the homeless this Saturday. This is our last Saturday for hot food for the season. We'll start up again in October. In the meantime, they'll be getting pizza and other cold food from the others who work for our food bank.

Now to plan our 4 1/2 months of camp hosting for the Michigan DNR. I'm excited about hosting this year. I've put in a request from JIFFY mixes in Chelsea, Michigan, for some cookbooks and donations of their mixes. We plan on having several "Made in Michigan" days where we showcase our lovely state, its natural beauty and resources and the countless products that are Michigan Made. We'll fly our flag, make all kinds of stuff, have history and geography lessons... just a lot of fun.

It's Holy Week... whether you are a believer or not, hubby and I will keep you in prayer. We always do anyway. This is the time we remember when our Lord came into Jerusalem and faced His accusers. Keep these events in mind as you go through the week. It all leads up to our most holy celebration... He is not here! He has risen!

God bless, everyone. Have a blessed day. :)

here at my favorite time of day. It is quiet, now that the cats have gone to bed (MY bed; they're in the "sweet spot...")

Hey Pard: time flies; especially when you're having fun.... You need to get some rest.

That's a great thought, TM. Too bad the good ideas never come to fruition....

Dickc: I don't rake anymore. I always use the bagger on the lawnmower to catch clippings and leaves. My big bald cypress dropped all of its' fronds; I mowed all of them up....

Hope that the RB family is doing okay. Ditto to CH.

happy.

Worked at church yesterday and had hubbys sisters and one BIL over for lunch. Church secretary ate with us as well. Had the juiciest burgers ever, homemade fries, pickles, onions, sauteed mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. Yum!!!

We all had a great time.

Sunday is our pancake breakfast at church. Any leftover sausage is given to me for downtown next week. Will turn it into sausage gravy to go with biscuits and cheesy eggs and oj.

Then we'll get ready for camp hosting for five months.

We get a boot out of helping people. It's such a great feeling. :)

Hope everyone is doing well and healthy.

God bless! :) :) :)

just letting Calinda know that the pizza we ordered from the local palace tonight made my kitchen smell real good!

Next week, once the company leaves, I MUST get out and rake all the driveway stones off my grass, where the snowplow guy deposited them when he was plowing the driveway so many times this winter!

THEN, on to the weeds!

home from my 55th day of the ski season. A bit cold and some trails were a little "stiff". Enjoyed it just the same.

Headache is gone. Some raking left to do, but as we just had rain, I realize that raking damp ground keeps the "stuff" from getting into my nose. No headache today! Maybe I should water first, then rake.

Hi to all. Things sound a bit more hopeful for everyone.

heading back out to finish up in the yard. Hopefully I will finish up today. If not, there is always tomorrow....

TM: the weeds are coming back up in the OTHER yards.... Mine will be heading to the landfill tomorrow, where they can grow and thrive.

RB: take that trip and enjoy it.

CH: how's your foot? Must be contagious; GASOG stubbed and ultimately broke one of his toes....Another buddy on the disabled list.

dickc: I tried to help you win your countdown....

I wonder what's cooking @ Pard's Place.... I just made a stuffed bread; the house smells delish!!

Have a great day.

re-writing my post.

I guess I didn't hit the 'post message'

Things are getting better, my wife is even joking about it now. (She thought that if this ever happened it would be our son that was the screw up)

I guess either he listened to me, or he just knew that anger wouldn't fix it.

Maybe our trip is back on.

Back to work.

exhausted, after spending 9 hours working in my yard; and I'm not done yet. One of the men in the neighborhood stopped to tell me that my yard was one of the best in the area. I told him that it took hard work in the beginning.

This is some of the BEST exercise I get during the summer months. A couple neighbors came out and mowed their weeds, shaking their heads as I went about my business, PULLING them up by their roots. They choose not to watch and learn. My weeds will be GONE by the end of this month; they will have weeds until the middle of June. And I have NO ant piles....

TM: before I started taking alfalfa, I suffered from frequent allergy attacks. I'd work in the yard; that night I was paying for it. Today, I was up close and personal with the yard. Tonight my head is clear. It may not work for your son, but it does work for me.

Pard: I love outlet malls...... among other things. Hope the visit is going well.

Howdy to everyone else. I'm off to bed. One more day of yard work tomorrow. So far I have 10 55-gal bags of clippings and weeds....

right now I'm just beat, we all went to the Birch Run Outlet stores today,(I drove) and also got a fabulous chicken dinner at Zehnder's in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Paid a visit also to Bronners Christmas store, there's nothing like it you've ever seen unless you've been there.

hoping that everyone gets well soon. I am indeed lucky that pollen doesn't affect me in a negative way; perhaps it is because I take an alfalfa capsule every day (that I remember to do so...) Someone told me to do this about 20 years ago. And since the capsules are fairly inexpensive, I just keep taking them. I also use local honey in my tea and coffee (and occasionally in my bourbon, with lemon.)

Snow mold? Never heard of it; but I'll be googling it very shortly. We don't get snow often enough to be familiar with it.

I have faith in RB's ability to get things sorted out and on-track. You'll only have that limo for about 9 more days....

Pard: have a wonderful week with your daughter and her family.... I bet your kitchen smells really good....

Dealing with a sinus induced migraine. Started my spring raking yesterday. Know I stirred up some molds. This is an allergic reaction to them. My full face shield dust mask is over at my daughters. Looks like I will be headed over there to get it today. Am missing winter already........

sorry Roadieboy's life is having so many ups and downs right now. Mine has had a few in the past, but seems to be pretty stable lately, at least in my house. I do hope some reason comes into the equation with your son and he realizes this is most likely not the answer.

Today, I rake some of the yard, and finish my taxes. After I finish my taxes, I have my disabled boys to do. His are pretty easy.

working late.

Just when I start to feel better our son changed his Facebook status from 'Married' to separated. (I guess he is 13 not 33)
Quick phone call later and he is still very mad about something.
I told him that anger never solves problems and talking sometimes does.

We were going to take my Mother and Father-in-Law to visit him at Easter now I don't know.
They were going to stay with him and we were going to take the kids and stay in a hotel in town. Now I worry about seeing them at all.
My wife has not stopped crying.

Good night.
