Daily Gripes is a great way to vent (everybody needs too!) but it's also great to remember the positive things that happens in our lives! And remember: "Life is a journey, enjoy the ride!!"

I'm reading books by Debbie Macomber and just finished "A Good Yarn" which is the second of the Blossom Street series of books. I haven't read fiction for a long time, just non-fiction. I'm enjoying these books and look forward to Debbie Macomber's Cedar Grove series being featured on Hallmark TV starting in July.

Pool temp has been raised to 80 degrees. Didn't have to cook at all today and had the best lunch ever ..catfish and shrimp and sweetpotato and blueberry cobbler .

Been waiting over a month for this appointment. Hope they can figure out what is wrong with my knee!

She loved it! She got it this morning and was already on page 180 when I talked to her this afternoon. Love my Mom (and Dad) and am so lucky to have them in my life.

Our youngest "child" is graduating from Illinois State on Friday and, for the first time in twenty-eight years, after 10 graduation ceremonies, all 3 of our children are out of school! Done!!! No more concerns about school clothes, laundry, buses, lunches, exams, grades, tuition, room & board, etc. Our only remaining school concern is student loan repayment & moving on and enjoying life! She brought with her , her sauce which was made from red california chilis. Very interesting and different taste than tomato sauce. l was able to freeze about 4 servings. And 2 packs of her sauce. Smile.

That l can do. l can't go out and volunteer to help build homes like some posters are able to do,(God bless them) but l can still help here and there.

He said he needed a long board, round. l save mop and broomsticks so l got one for him and he was able to open his windows with it. Then he said he needed two doors removed so his wheelchair will fit thru. l can't do that ...tho l did it in the 90's when l first retired. He said he'd get someone, but l am so glad l got to do something. He has had 2 people bring soup and said tomorrow would be better. Great. Will do.

My Dad is really awesome the way he has stepped up and takes such good care of my Mom. She is such a trooper and fights to live somewhat a normal life, as much as having cancer will let you. So went out of town to a real nursery and got 2 artichokes, 2 bell pepper and 2 eggplant. Raining today so that is perfect.
