Just cause I'm interested in wines, thought I'd ask this question, and see what people are drinking

We had some Frascati with dinner tonight. It was homemade from a kit.

2006 Faury St. Joseph ($19). The syrah-based wines of France's St. Joseph can we quite a bargain. This was under $20, full of flavor, and an excellent match for beef.

It was in 1965. The football coaches wife and I killed off two bottles of some red wine and I puked all over a nice white sweater of mine. The coach was out at a football game in the rain and neither of us wanted to watch our high school team get mangled and have to sit in the rain to do it. Wine was good until.....then things got pretty nasty. That's why my drink since then has been beer.

Rotie Cellars VdP 2010 ($20). Rhone blend really hit the spot with the first roast of the fall.

Reynvaan Queens Road White 2012. Basically only available thru the winery, but if you ever see it on a wine list splurge and give it a try. Outstanding stuff from Washington State.

2009 Lameauroux Landing Chardonnay. Finger Lakes Chard has a good amount of buttery/oak flavors, nice match with Halibut and Peach Relish.

2010 Eric Kent Pinot Noir 'Stiling'. Rich, full-bodied Pinot was a great match with grilled lamb.

Force Majeure 2012 Viognier ($35) - Washington State light, impressive white done in a Rhone style. Not big and tropical like a California version of this grape, it goes for delicate flavors, but with impressive complexity.

2010 Cuvee Signee. This is a Cabernet Franc from the Chinon area of the Loire Valley. Really smooth, good forward fruit flavors. Delicious as a glass of wine on the deck, but the light body will not hold well against flavorful cheeses or meats

Meier's, La Brusca Bianco. Its kind of a generic tasting white wine that was given to me.
