Unfortunately, all we can get now are grown in Mexico, but the worst from Mexico is better than NO avocados.

Pretty soon the markets will be flooded with the Haases from Chile and Peru, their summer approaching in the Southern Hemisphere.

Better selection, cheaper price$ too.

Got a beauty from a friend today. It is a smaller one, only about 2 1/2 pounds. I'm waiting for it to ripen and then it will be eaten!

I love avocados--especially the very smooth, shiny-skinned ones we call "alligator pears" in Louisiana--they grow as big as small footballs.

I don't care for the Florida avocados. They have a strange fiber in their meat.

Bad Petroleum, large or small, Hass is the only variety we get here. BTW, avoid Walmart's aquacates. They are usually not too good.
