I've never done it myself. however, I've had the serviceman do it ..getting too ...well ...arthritic, if you will to change my filters anymore ...its not a cop out, just a fact.

I replace my own...I will not pay a dealer or service station their hourly rate to do it....thing is manufacturers put them in the most stupidest areas tat are sometimes impossible to get to without ripping the car apart.

I found part for $7.xx vs local parts store price $25

Day 30 min job to remove kick panel and glovebox

By the way, these are terribly important because when you are taking air into the vehicle from the outside they collect everything just like your air filter does on your engine. Mind was extremely dirty after 20,000 plus miles.

I just this minute changed mine in my 2011 Toyota Corolla S model. They are $20 each at Wal-Mart. They aren't that hard to change. Push both sides of the glove box inwards and allow it to drop down. There is a rear door that snaps out behind the glove box and the filter is inside. By the way, the dealer charges $65 to do this 5 minute job.
