I recently changed mine myself. It is rather easy, but the filter costs about $18 itself.

No, but I'm wondering if that is why I can't seem to get much heat out of my car.

I've replaced it myself a couple of times. Very simple to replace in '07 Corolla. Even simpler in wife's '09.

Yes, they will become moldy in humid climates. If you don't change it, you should just remove it.

Replace mine regularly. The Hondas aren't that hard to change, but the Nissan makes up for it.

"today's kids have POOR WORK ETHIC".

Try going a lot further back than that. Its hard to get any of the trades to do good work and they are a lot older than that. One of the reasons I do it all myself. Nothing beats being self sufficient.

well I can agree that not many kids today are ever introduced to any form of a tool kit, and seldom is the parents aware of any to be purchased at and for their early age.

This era of growing up to adulthood has definitely changed their interests. Even many magazines have less informative interests for young learners. nothing fun about changing a home furnace filter or auto cabin filter.

Sum adults struggle with changing wiper blades, using their turn signals, so the list grows. Kids will stay Kids if one lets them, some don't. Thanks! I've made a few DIY efforts from Y-tube info....
