Absolutely disgusting how these pigs acted. I can't believe the wife of the paralyzed biker has the nerve to blame the driver of the SUV for what happened, much less to open a collection to take care of the resulting medical bills.

Idiotic. Ignorant. Selfish. There are no shortage of synonymous adjectives to describe the behavior of these bikers... Especially with one of them being a cop!

So, you state you don't live in fear, that's great and I am happy for you...however, let me disabuse you of the notion that I do. Trust me, I sleep very well at night knowing my wife and I are secure and prepared for anything that might happen.

I prefer to live by the maxim of better to have it and not need it that need it and not have it. Again, I pray that you and your family do not need it.

14smoke says " Hope your home is never broken into by someone wishing harm upon you and/or your family and you're praying the police make it there before it actually happens then contiki. "

In our town crime is very low so I don't have to worry about that happenning too much.....

14smoke , we live in Canada where we don't live in fear and NEVER have or the what if's don't really enter the thoughts of many Canadians....

Most Canadians are happy people that don't handle any problems with gun use that is how our society operates and has for many years now....

Our society has never been based on guns or the need to have them to protect us....

14smoke if you were not brought up this way you will find it hard to understand......

I am still so glad to live in Canada where guns are mainly used by the police and security and we handle problems without the thought of needing the use of a gun.....

That is normal for me and my family living in Canada................

I feel horrible for the little kid that had to watch his Dad get pummeled by some idiot who's testosterone went nuts ...with the sheer number of bikers that were there, the intimidation factor was great...They are lucky (bikers) that the guy in the Range Rover didn't lay more to rest !

I find it interesting that you think that the news is reporting something that is "normal". What makes the news is not "normal" everyday happenings contiki. For something to make the news it has to be something unusual.

For example, a plane crash makes the news...why? It does not happen that often. 3 to 5 thousand commercial flights are in the air over North America at any given time, and they took off and have either landed, or will land safely. Not much news when a news anchor to say, "Delta flight 007 from Montreal to New York City landed safely today", is it?

When a murder, or mass murder happens, that's news, because it isn't normal. So, don't go thinking that what happened at the school in Newtown, Connecticut happens every day contiki. And before you go saying that a lot of murders happen in the US everyday, might want to look in your own backyard first.

You be happy having the government mandate you cannot be armed to defend youself, whereas I'll be more than happy not having to wait the 5-15 minutes(at least) for the police to arrive before being able to defend my family and myself.

Luckily for those bikers (who are known for terrorizing other motorists) it wasn't me and my family they were attacking in the Range Rover...I would've ran over every one of them, and backed over them a few more times until the twitchers stopped twitching.

Gun use in the States is hardly responsible.....

You see the news each night and gun use is use so much in the States...

So much in fact that my wife a myself always say when there is gun use used in the schools or anywhere else in the States.....that the trouble is they NEED MORE GUNS to protect themselves....lol....

They even want to arm the teachers in the schools in the States...how crazy is that....

In Canada guns are left more to the police and we like it that way......

The 1880's contiki? Really? Might want to double-check your history there, as the Second Amendment is a part of the Bill of Rights and ratified with the main portion of the Constitution. Might want to check your facts.

As for the assertion that law enforcement is much bigger now than it was 100, or 200 years ago, I will not argue that, but, will ask you, how long do you think it takes for authorities to arrive to your home, which is stationary, when you call? I don't know about Canada, but, it's a 10-15 minute wait on average...then there's this situation, where the situation is fluid as it is constantly moving until the man was dragged out of his vehicle and beaten half to death.

As opposed to your thinking of people who support the Second Amendment, which makes this country the "Wild West" of movie-dom, it does not. From reports anywhere form 60 to 90 million people, including myself, in this country own firearms, and we use them responsibly.

I hope to never use my firearm in anger, but, to defend myself and/or my family, I will not hesitate. Which is why I am more than happy to live in the United States, as opposed to say Canada or Great Britain.

The Second Amendment to US Constitution came in effect during the 1880's because law enforcement was not big in my places so people had to arm themselves to protect their property....

These days guns are not needed so much as law enforcement is much bigger now in most of North American's society............

I don't know how it would be handled in Canada, but, probably a lot like in this case, where the driver gets pulled out of the vehicle and beaten almost to death, when its the bikers attempting a stupid on-the-road stunt to be uploaded to YouTube that are at fault.

The man in the Range Rover, who has his wife and child in the car likely feared for his life when the biker stopped short, not knowing the intention of the biker group, and took off in an attempt to keep his family as safe as he could.

Yes, in this case, the Second Amendment to our Constitution does come into play, self-defense.

The whole story is not out there. Something had to happen other than what the video is showing.

I think it's abhorrent and a perfect argument for having a concealed carry permit and having a weapon inside your vehicle.

Yea sure that is the answer....guns are the answer......

Try calling the police since most of the motorcyle riders were close enough to get a licence plate number........

The motorcycle riders didn't do the proper thing either when they finally catch up to the Land Rover......

They could have held the motorist there until the police arrived...

I wonder how many posters would handle this situation in Canada where guns are not that easy to come by and you learn to handle situations without the use of a gun..............

Glad I live in Canada where situations are handle without the thought or the use of a gun.....

It looks like the bikers were trying to take the law into their own hands. It would've been better to have just followed the guy if he was wrong.

When I see videos like this, I often wonder if we're seeing everything that happened that led up to what we're seeing.
I don't want to jump to conclusions. For me, I'm not going to worry about it, because I try to drive with consideration for others on the road.
