lilmx5guy says " Have it in my newest car (only way it came). Wife loves it. Has remote start from the factory, and has to be locked by remote BEFORE you could start it, making it safer than if a key was in it. If your car was running and unlocked for some reason, it won't let you put it in drive without the "key" being with you. "

Thanks lilmx5guy, now I know how it works.............

I wonder if the vehicle can be locked while you are warming up the vehicle in the cold weather...

I saw on the news someone stealing vehicles while being warmed up in the cold weather....

Maybe someone who has a vehicle with this feature can let me know...

Just wondering............enquiring minds want to know...........

MertieMan says "No, but it is as old as the hills. It used to be that way in all older cars."

Yes MertieMan but the button was on the floor that you push with your foot, if memory serves me correctly.......

I remember this in the old cars while growing up......

Keys are good enough for our family.....

I have heard from some motorists with vehicles having this feature and have found that they seem to really like having this feature on their automobiles.........

I have three cars and two have keyless feature.
The third one is the key type, and every time I get in that car,
I have to dig in my pocket to find that doggone key. I hate
Driving it , because of that problem.
I love the keyless feature !!
