Are you for PHOTO RADAR or against it....

In Ontario we have photo radar a number of years ago under a NDP Ontario government........

After the election and the NDP government was removed from government, the photo radar was scraped by the present government.......

During us having photo radar at the time, speed limits were observed and agressive driving was not a issue..........

I think photo radar has a place in today's society because it makes our highways a safer place.............

Tell me how you see photo radar and do you think there is a need for it............

I welcome your comments on this important issue.....

When Ontario had photo radar.....

I found the many drivers did the speed limit on our highways because they never knew where photo radar was set up......

With that said photo radar was a good idea that many drivers hated here in Ontario.......

Out went the NDP government in Ontario and so did photo radar.......

Ontario, Canada had photo radar years ago under a NDP government...

Once the NDP government was voted out so was photo radar.....

I have to say the highways here in Ontario....many did the speed limit because they never knew where photo radar was set up......

I never had an issue with them.

If I want to go fast, I'll hit the race track.
Its always laughable to see these Joe racers on the roads that "think" they are fast; surely legends in their own mind. Put them on the track and they would be dead last. LOL

Better than photo radar is having insurance premiums go up by 10% for every point.

should be illegal, the photo might be proof my car was speeding, but not what was happening in traffic that might have contributed to it, nor that I was the driver. Its not about safety but about revenue source

In Ontario during photo radar when we had it.....

The photo was taken of the licence of the vehicle......

The ticket was issued to the ownership of the vehicle....so if you lend your vehicle and it is speeding than the owner of the vehicle gets the ticket............that is how it works......

Works the same as a parking ticket that someone else gets when they borrow your vehicle....the owner of the vehicle has the parking ticket to pay or get the money from the person that borrowed your vehicle........that how it works.......................

I also believe the courts will hold to this as well...............

Against it. Catch me in the act doing something wrong. Don't give me a ticket with a camera. Cheap way of making money. As if Ontario doesn't tax it's citizens enough! Now camera tickets!

Michigan should do this to pay for its roads!!

cDagas says " It slows drivers down when they know where the camera's are, but that's until it's passed!"

With photo radar motorists never knew where it was .......

If you passed one area where photo radar is .....there still can be photo radar ahead of you still..........that was always the case...........

You never knew where is was.........you would see a vehicle off the road as you travelled by, maybe a van or a car....it could be photo radar....you never knew......that is why photo radar got you and why most motorists were caught..........

Many motorists did the speed limit and drove sensible because they never knew where photo radar would be.....

I am talking from experience when Ontario had photo radar years ago under the NDP government at the time.......

100% for all photo radar and red light cameras.
There should be photo radar on all major roads.
There should be photo radar in all school zones....

I pick up wrecks for the local police, Almost 100% of them are due to SPEED or BLOWING THROUGH A RED LIGHT!

I don't need to speed or blow red lights.
So i NEVER...You should NEVER too....end of story....

MertieMan says " Are you referring to red light cameras? We don't have that and I hope we never get it."

No MertieMan Photo Radar that is used on our highways....where a van or a vehicle of some kind is off the highway clicking photos of speeders as they pass by......

Ontario had photo radar years ago under a NDP government....when the liberals were elected they scrap photo radar.........

It seem that our highways seem much safer back when photo radar was around........

It is still talk about here in Ontario...............

I found Photo radar has it merit on our highways when we had it years ago..

Motorists drove the speed limit and no crazy drivers were ever seen...

Many drivers went the speed limit because they never knew where photo radar was.....

They has been much talk about bringing Photo Radar back to Ontario...

Some like it while others disliked it very much......now they are talking about it again...

Back when Ontario had photo radar, years ago, motorists drove much more safely and did the speed limit on our highways because they never knew where Photo Radar was....................

It is hard to argue on that kind of safety on Ontario highways....that how I saw it and wonder if photo radar was so bad......
