I think electric cars are a waste of time.
I also think that the gas engine has more
than proved itself. Do you want to plug
your in at night, Not everyone has a garage.
Plus in Ohio we have cold winters, also I
drive many miles per day. Plus who wants
to sit in a recharging station.Replacement
batteries will cost a fortune!!

QUOTE :::::Yes...only if a TRUCK/SUV or sports car could do the same thing it does now...with better gas mileage of course::::

No fan of electrics (yet), but you are being unfair here. Electrics outperform gas powered cars today. Your typical Tesla out accelerates, out corners and out brakes even the exotics like Lamborghinis.

Nonetheless, they are totally impractical. No car is worth $100,000. In today's world, no car should be consuming the limited resources, (rare earths) it requires to build a Tesla. These are piggish toys for the 1%, and for Hollywood liberals.

I'll drive one but I won't own one, and certainly not GM Volt.

When electric cars can get me at least 600 miles at 70 MPH on a single charge as my car does and then fully charge up again in under 5 minutes, I will consider one.

The batteries also need to last at least 200,000 miles and still have the same capacity as day-one.

My tesla will take 170 miles of charge in 30 minutes. Stop for 30 minutes every 3 hours isn't so bad. Its not a bad idea to stop every 3 hours no matter what you drive.

No, most of the electric cars on the market today do not have the range to get me to work, let alone get me back home
