Have you ever seen anyone drive into a parked vehicle, back into a vehicle or clip someone and leave the scene.

Someone did that to me and a bystander took down their licence and reported them.

I would definitely do the same now if I saw it. That would have cost me my deductable.

It cost the offendar total damages to both mine and their vehicle as well as other claims they may incur in the future.
Kinda like always presumed guilty from now on.

I most certainly would, plus if it were my vehicle I would file an insurance claim against the perpetrator.

Yes. Why? Because someone backed into my wife's car once in a parking lot. It sucks.

I would probably write down the offender's plate along with my phone number and place it on the windshield of the victim vehicle so that the owner can contact me as a witness.

I know of a driver who had her front fender of her car all smashed in parked at a local mall.....

The woman that smashed into her parked car, was witnessed leaving a note for the driver of the smash vehicle....

The witness in the mall, a distance away, thought of how thoughtful the woman hitting the parked car leaving her a note about the accident and her infomation........

The driver of the damage vehicle return later and found the note of what the woman wrote and left on her windshield....

It read:
For those people in this mall who might have see this accident happen I am writing this note.............nothing more on the note............

Now you can see what can happen when you park at a mall........

Absolutely. I would also provide LEOs with as many details as possible such as time, vehicle description, etc. As other GBs have said, I hope others would do the same for me.

Of course. I've been unfortunate to have had my car hit in a parking lot, and I sure wish someone had turned the guilty party in.

I would for sure report them. Where I work someone slammed into a VP car. Yeah they were caught on camera and fired the same day.

I'd turn in drivers that illegally park in front of doors, block isles and in handicap spaces.

Always it is best to leave some kind of note or contact information where the damaged party can find it. Sometimes the police are WORTHLESS they are too busy to care about a fender-bender. So leave something with the damaged car. They will be interested.

Once I saw someone make a turn into a one way street the wrong and back out into the front end of a car waiting for the guy to back out. I gave the waiting car my contact info in the event that the first would claim the the waiting car had rear ended them and caused damage. Sure enough I got a call from the insurance co. of the waiting and was able to testify that the first car was at fault even though it looked like they were not at fault.

People help your fellow motorists from getting screwed cause it might be you that someone tries to screw.

Good to see so many healthy responses. I certainly won't hesitate to take down info if I see it happen and pass it on to the authorities.
