Is the opening of your vehicle's fuel door controlled from inside or outside of the vehicle...

Our Hondas both are contolled from inside the vehicles..........

I like it that way, I find it safer that way.......

Tell me how you see it............

UKGraham says "Outside but there's an interlock that won't let me open it until the engine is off. "

Interesting something I never knew about.........

I am glad that our fuel doors are controlled from inside the vehicles....

Many of the new vehicles have capless fuel systems which I find isn't for me....

My future son in law has capless fuel system on his 2015 Ford Escape......

I still think this is the best way of having fuel doors on a automobile....

I rather have our fuel doors controlled from inside the vehicle like it is with our Hondas rather than like many of the new vehicles today which have capless fuel systems.......

I have seen my future son in law and my daughter's new 2015 Ford Escape with it's capless fuel system and it is not for me...

I like the fact that our fuel doors on our Hondas are controlled from inside the vehicle..........more secure feeling for our family......that is my feeling anyway....

Sneakers55, my future son in law and my daughter just bought a new 2015 Ford Escape.....nice vehicle......

That 2015 Ford Escape has a capless fuel system which I am not sure I really like....

I wonder what can be put down this capless fuel system.....in liquid form to cause harm....

Our vehicles have fuel doors that are controlled from inside the vehicle......I like that much better....

Controlled from the outside by the person doing the refueling flipping the access door open. My vehicle has Ford "EasyFuel" where the filler inlet is covered by interlocking projections until a unleaded gas nozzle is inserted. It is highly resistant to siphoning (if there's any of that going on with $2 gas on nearly every corner in the red states). The only downside is you have to use a special funnel provided with the vehicle to refuel from a jerry can.
