My brother-in-law bought an 89 Infiniti for $150. Did I mention it had 150,000 miles, a bent front fender and pushed in rear end?

Hi mileena202. I'll have to answer this for my late Brother. He bought from a used car dealer a 1957 Plymouth Plaza for $12. He always mentioned that car's price and still had the receipt when he died in 1995. "The Rest of The Story" (Paul Harvey) was that he had to work on some problem every day. He moved up in the world and bought a 1958 Plymouth Fury for $75 -- it wasn't an improvement. Take care :-). MGY

Back in 1996 I bought a 1978 Chrysler LeBaron for $250, the least amount I have bought a car for from someone I had not met before.
I've bought two cars for the low, low price of $1, one from my Mom, the other from my Dad, hence the qualification above.

In 1968 I bought a 1956 Plymouth Savoy for $20. I then rebuilt the engine and put a used transmission in it and it was a pretty good car for about 5 years. I think I spent about 500 on it. A great learning experience. My next car was a 1952 IHC van, a precursor to the Travelall. I spent 45 dollars on that one. I got huge miles out of both of those cars. I have only spent more than $ 1000 for a car once. I paid cash for all but one car.

When I was in England it was probably a 1956 Ford Poplar for about $125.00, but it was truly a piece of junk and we were next to walking with it.

$50, it was 1976 buick that ran on 7 out of 8 cylinders, rear brake line was broke so I pinched it off with vise grips, gas line was rusted so I used a rubber hose from from the fuel pump to the trunk where I had a 5 gallon gas can for a gas tank, transmission lines were leaking so I patched them with rubber hose's and I duct taped a radio to the floor for some tunes.
I will never forget that old heap of junk, girls liked me more driving that old heap because I wasnt showing off in a SHINY hotrod.....so much for chicks hanging with guys for their car.

1976 impala wagon with a 454 under the hood. That was my first car and it was $50. It was brown and definitely not a chick magnet!
