I checked mine and wasn't satisfied with how it looked, because it wasn't clean enough for me. It could cause me some other problems later if it's too dirty. Like burning gas right?

" Modern computerized cars adjust the fuel flow to match air flow. The main effect is on power, especially during acceleration. MPGs? Not so much. I check my air filter about once a couple times per year.

Check it at least twice a year.
