There is a volunteer crew of concerned parents in viz-vests and hardhats milling around each one. All this makes a point.

We have one mobile radar electronic sign in a small town eleven miles for my home. It is moved around to advise people the speed limit is 30 or 35 MPH. It is for informational purposes only. Most people see how fast they can run through them.

There are some that lets you see the speed you are doing as you get near it.

However, there are devices that use remote mounted radar units to detect and display speeds called Radar Speed Signs. But yes, I agree to a point. It would be better if an actual officer was there.
