Just one of the cheap temporary tires designed to get you to the tire dealer.

In my truck, yes. It is stored underneath the bed of the truck and is a pain to get to.

when considering all that stuff you said that was crammed underneath, incl the fuel tank... so the ss gets the inflator & gooey crap instead?

ricebike, I don't know, check out Camaro5.com or ModernCamaro.com. Perhaps the reason, just speculating, is because the exhaust system in the SS is larger and the spare tire well would be too small to accommodate even a donut tire. Also, the battery is located in the spare tire well, below my donut spare tire.

Yes, but mine is not the SS. On the 2010 Camaro SS, a spare tire was not even available.

I leave my full spare tire in my garage when I'm not going anywhere far. Less weight to haul around

Nope. Neither car even has a place for a spare tire. No run-flats either.

Check your spare tire once in a while. It can go flat or get crack even if it is not use for a long time.
