In my truck, yes. It is stored underneath the bed of the truck and is a pain to get to.

when considering all that stuff you said that was crammed underneath, incl the fuel tank... so the ss gets the inflator & gooey crap instead?

ricebike, I don't know, check out Camaro5.com or ModernCamaro.com. Perhaps the reason, just speculating, is because the exhaust system in the SS is larger and the spare tire well would be too small to accommodate even a donut tire. Also, the battery is located in the spare tire well, below my donut spare tire.

i know they started getting rid of spare tires to increase MPG...

Yes, but mine is not the SS. On the 2010 Camaro SS, a spare tire was not even available.

Check your spare tire once in a while. It can go flat or get crack even if it is not use for a long time.

TomB2, nope, some newer models don't have a spare tire anymore

the acura tsx wagon i got to test drive only had a plug-in portable pump with a bottle of "tire slime"
