Should the highway portion decline to say 10-20%. a hybrid would be a serious consideration, especially a diesel hybrid like they have in Europe. Example of mid-full size car capable of 65 mpg US.

The only reason I don't have one now is that one got totalled and when I went to replace it I couldn't find another one like it. I would definitely not rule out a hybrid in the future.
