I thought that phase passed since my 91 Chevy Cavalier had just one key for all. But now, my 2007 Toyota minivan has a valet key which doesn't open the glove box. (Obviously, since it is a minvian, it has no trunk.)

Since the new one has no ignition key, the key locks the glove box and I take it with me. The FOB stays with the valet person.
