QUOTE :::what's age got to do with it :::

Correct. AM is the only broadcast medium worth listening too. The only place where you can find the best news, discussion, and opinions.

I wish cellular internet radio was more dependable. I've tried a couple of phone apps but they have trouble locking / holding onto the signal if you move around. Which is what you do with a phone.

It works great when seated at your computer though. So many excellent AM broadcasts available in other markets. Not every AM radio jock is syndicated, many are strictly local. I love discovering new ones though.

4 AM stations on my car radio. I AM radio in my bedroom , kitchen , and mancave. A handful of AM podcasts of regional talk jocks not available in my market - downloaded to cell phone. Oh yeah, a Sony AM radio headset I fished out of the trash - someone tossed it out. I use it while hiking to listen to talk AM.
