Not sure i understand what a security light is? Ihave never seen such a light on my dash. And most responses refer to dead batteries.One mention a transponder key.Is it because my cars are outdated lol?

A few years ago I had 3 large size top quality batteries prove to be duds. Two were in the same vehicle same brand,and the other was a premium battery in another vehicle.
After three months even less one by one they failed to hold a charge,were checked then replaced,one returned for money back.
The store head guy said they had many returnes and would make the exchange no questions asked,They did and a new batch was available,seems the major oem company had a bad mix of lead...whatever...the seller took the guff...
Also some guff for the buyers, That's life,except for a - $40. trouble-shoot on one vehicle...? Batteries checked OK first time around (Round One)Round Two = 3 DUDS....

If its a late model vehicle check the oil pressure sensor or sending unit,often an electric fuel pump gets erratic on starting before going totally bad.Then runs fine for a period of time after starting.
Try switching to another known good battery for a few days see if problem persists after the change. GLuck...
