it does help reduce the inside temps

also keeps your interior from sun-fade/ dash cracking...

if you have a leather interior, highly recommended

i got the silver,foil-type one

One of Our econo vehicles does need a 5-7" sun shad tint/block at the top of its windshield. We have been doing without so far, too much sun rays/glare entering toward the front seat area then affects the A/C on extreme hot days.

For some dumb reason the OEMs trimmed the otherwise dark interior front post/pillars in a light color finish. That lighter finish reflects a mirrored glared reflection into the interior side of the windshield causing a ghost effect hampering good visibility.

We didn't notice the this affect during the day We purchased the vehicle new, (overcast sky), later was a bit late, had sold are previous vehicle outright.

A windshield sun shade might keep the frost off the windshield!

In my last car, the rear parcel shelf was faded from the sun. Sunshade here?
