I've used AMSOIL motor oil for about six years in my 2003 Elantra. Not sure if my gas millage is any better because I switched over when I got the car new. I get an average of 26.6 MPG. I have been thinking about using other products from AMSOIL, like the air cleaner, oil filter, and grease for the joints. AMSOIL has been around for a long time. Any thoughts?

Those who use Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Castrol Syntec or Pennzoil Platinum and think they are using a "synthetic" oil are mistaken. These oils are all or mostly Group III petroleum. Big Business may want to call Group III oil synthetic but intelligent people will not be fooled.

If you really want to use a true synthetic, you can use AMSoil Signature, Redline or Synlube.

See additional comment on this subject in my April 6 post below.
