I've used AMSOIL motor oil for about six years in my 2003 Elantra. Not sure if my gas millage is any better because I switched over when I got the car new. I get an average of 26.6 MPG. I have been thinking about using other products from AMSOIL, like the air cleaner, oil filter, and grease for the joints. AMSOIL has been around for a long time. Any thoughts?

Today's regular oil works for me. I don't mind the more frquent oil change since I know that the filter would be new as well...

Lol at the past owner manuals stating to change the filter every other oil change.

Neighbor does it once a year on a kia and Nissan. Brother in law uses full synthetic as well for his audi. And changes it annually.

I'll use regular or semi ( by using 2 regular and 2 full synthetic) depending on what I have on the shelf.

Never tried AMSOIL but use only synthetic in my Juke and was using in my Altima. I think it does slightly improve the mileage and I didn't develop an oil leak in the altima until I changed to conventional oil.

Have used non-synthetic Castrol in my '99 Toyota P.U. - 26 mpg hwy. @ 60 or so mph, A/C on, for long trips. 2.4 l engine w 4sp. A/T, just for comparison to your Elantra. Have a K&N air filter.

Use full synthetic in my car as previous owner only used that ,,not sure if it matters.

No experience with AMSOIL.
