QT being the "Big Dog" in KC are nearly always the first to raise price and the last to lower so no, I'm not enamored with them.

Matter of fact, living 20 miles West of KC in the rural farming community the price of gas runs anywhere from .05 to .11 lower per gallon than in the KC metro area...especially the CO-OP or places like Casey's or the large truck plaza's along the Interstate where we purchase ULSD for the RV.

I burn diesel and about 90% don't have diesel. So my answer is I don't love them.

Yes! Great stores. Too bad I'm no longer in their area.

I have stopped going to QT. Very few carry diesel fuel. I have no reason to buy there when Raceway has diesel and a nice clean store.

"Most of the time their AUTO DIESEL highly completive the best price considering other places are charging #2 Diesel prices and pocketing an extra 8 cents per gallon"

Hate to break it to you but #2 diesel and auto diesel as you call it is the same thing. More properly called ULSD for Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel < 15ppm of sulphur all comes from the same tank at the terminal and there is no difference. The only true difference anymore is, is there any Bio diesel in the blend. Common is 5% bio diesel which is 95% ULSD and 5% bio product. In Illinois they sell a B-11 which is tax advantaged because dealers do not have to pay the state rod tax for the sale of that product. Any diesel refined with greater than 15 ppm of sulphur in the US gets exported to other countries because we can no longer use or sell it in the US.

If most of the time other stations are charging 8 cents per gallon more, than they're not competitive; they're the outright leader.

However, how do you know that "other places" are "pocketing an extra 8 cents per gallon"? Even if the other stations charged 8 cents more per gallon, or for that matter 20 cents more per gallon, you haven't said how you know that the different stations are all paying the same wholesale price or that they all have the same operating expenses that they have to pay, operating expenses such as repaying the cost of the investment in the gas station, franchise fees, salaries, taxes, rent, maintenance, or anything else. But, even if the other "places" did picket an extra 8 cents per gallon, so what? Each company can choose it's own mark-up to try to attract business/customers and earn the profit it thinks appropriate. After all, does the company you work for have the absolute exact expenses and charge the exact same costs as every other competitor? Just wondering, that's all. Just wondering.

If you go out of your way to "get to Quick Trip", a local gas station that most Gas Buddy members across the United States and Canada that might read this thread likely won't have heard of, why, as this is the "Boycott/Gasout Talk" discussion category, do you want to boycott it?
