Once again, if you use the same amont of gas, it does not matter how long you go between purchases. The net for everyone is the same. Also, most people do not make special trips to get gas. They buy along their commute, or while going to the store. So no savings, either.

I bet those 5 gallon gas cans you purchased cost a lot more than the $50 you saved, not to mention the time and hassle! The next time you go out to fill up all those cans to save a few pennies, do your fellow Canadians a favor and post some gas prices. After all, the is the purpose of this site!

@ MertieMan, interesting you should say that but here where I'm from. We are allowed to transport 99 gallons of gas without a permit. We also can buy proper storage containers made out of "M- E- T- A- L" designed specifically for safely storing gas.. Also if it was a concern from our local "fire authorities " I'm sure my neighbor would get hit first considering he has about a 2000 gallon above ground tank. And residential? Residential? How about 150 cars next to you in an apartment building all stored safely in plastic tanks? I'm sure in total they have more fuel stored than I.. Yep sounds safe to me lol.

I am certainly sure that your local Fire Dept. Bureau doesn't know what you are doing and if they did, you would be cited and fined for storing hazardous materials incorrectly in a residential area.

Onlypremiumg, there is an entire category for discussions about boycott/gasouts. Why did you start this discussion in General Gas Talk?
