Gas stations that advertise their car was price & literally have small print their non wash price per gallon. It gets real annoying when you are not in an area you typically travel in & between traffic & understanding the traffic flow trying to read the price signs.

You need to chech the price at the pump you are using. I asked several customers using the higher price pumps if they knew what they just paid for gas and they all said they paid the advertised low price. They were mistaken and surprised. Some even quite angry. One gal said she would never stop at another swifty station. This is my response also.

If your local gas pumper is gouging then go to the next pump in your town. That way his competitor will force the gouger's prices to go down. Yelping, blogging, etc social media can send a reality check to the gouger.

Sadly (and I don't like more laws, because, if you really think about it, laws are written for people who don't have enough sense to not do what the law mandates), people will take advantage of other people.

No stress and is good for your community. Any "extra" cost is minimal if at all over time.

A local station near me posts the car wash price with writing the top that says "with car wash", something they added on after getting lots of complaints probably. I feel sorry for the guy working there, he must get a lot of flack. The car wash is $10. Ok if you're going to wash it, but I always wash it myself anyway so I'm never going to stop there.

For the most part, the "car wash" signs I've seen have always been clearly marked. But you're saying that we should boycott these stations?
