Get enough people to do this and it would definitely send a msg to the oil companies to quit robbing us. Wouldn't it be great to see every street/highway deserted? These oil companies would end up stockpiling EVEN MORE fuel!

Everyone needs to pick 1 day a month to NOT drive unless there's an emergency and/or vital need. Get enough people to do this and it would definitely send a msg to the oil companies to quit robbing us.

Wouldn't it be great to see every street/highway deserted? These oil companies would end up stockpiling EVEN MORE fuel!

How would you (or everyone) not driving one day (I assume you mean we all pick the same day, and not we each pick our own day to not drive), would the oil companies end up stockpiling fuel, let alone "stockpiling EVEN MORE fuel"? Even more than what?

It would also mean one day a month you couldn't buy fresh bread, baby food, prescription medications, because going to work at 7-Eleven or Walgreens wouldn't be an emergency. It might reduce consumption a little bit, but I have a feeling that most people who feel they can spend an entire day at home each month are likely doing so already. As for seeing every street deserted, what makes you think everyone would choose the same day?
