Scuttlebutt is that we'll be awash in new oil in the next 5 yrs. Will be a lot of short selling. That'll put a crimp in the green cars.

Quit going to one station they were the same price as Wal-Mart but now they are running it two cents more. I run down to Costco it's the same price and still on the way home. Costco is running there new CLean Power additive. Had no issues. Anyway, there traffic has slowed way down. I don't but Murphy but if it is across the street , you gonna lose business.

You wrote: "GAS WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Can you explain what a gas war is, how it's conducted, and/or what you meant by simply posting "GAS WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!"? I mean, can you provide even a little more to what you wrote so we can understand what you meant?

Don't blame me. Not only have I not bought from those guys since May 1, but I bought my last gas from Petro Canada in April 1993 as I was leaving Calgary, and have not bought a single drop from any of the four since then. I am 100% on board and honoring your efforts.
(The fact I moved back to Texas from Calgary in April 1993 is beside the point.)

Looks like back to the drawing board lol.
Anyway we can fight against oil giants - by being smart consumers. Take reasonable approaches like filling up on "cheap night" where the price pops down, usually mid week(for me it is Tuesday after 7pm)and by shopping around to get the best price in advance. That's partly why this site is such a great tool. An outright boycott is simply not going to work until we can run our cars on something else.

I think he's another GAS WAR IN MONTREAL believer. Shockingly, not many warriors are out there...I guess because they are smart or something.

"why is that you may ask?"
No, I don't ask, because this nonsense has been addressed in numerous threads already.

I put pressure on just the other day! I didn't drive! Then the price dropped 1 cent per litre, the equivalent of just under 4 cents per US gallon! LOL!!

Did I miss something that indicated that "may 1st was supposed to be the start for us to finally put pressure..."?
Really? When did this come about? Why type of pressure were we supposed to do? Everyone around the world was supposed to do what?
But, and I'm going to sound like I'm naive but I really am not, who is doing the gouging? How are they gouging? And what is it that our pressure is supposed to accomplish?
Hard for me to understand the original post if you don't tell us more information.
But, as maxstar suggested, maybe it would be pressure of some sort if you posted gas prices just a little more frequently. That way people would know where to shop for lower priced fuel. So far you've made, perhaps 15 gas price posts in about 9 months. If you made just one gas price post a week, you'd more than double the amount of information you're providing your fellow Ontario Gas Buddy members. Now that might be something tangible and productive for in helping people be smarter - or at least more informed - shoppers for fuel.

canadore: Boycotts do not work. Instead of coming here to complain, try contributing to the site by posting some price updates. At 2,420, you have the amount of points that can be earned in three days.
