Guess you're right. Still, the English language is going to pot and it's getting more and more difficult to read.

::::::How does any anyone get wala out of voila?::::

AFAIK there is no "VW" sound in english. Can't think of a single english word with a vw, but french is loaded with them. (voiture, voici, voix, devoir, envoyer...)

Whats happening is english speakers are dropping the 'v' sound. Hence wala.

One reason to quit is to clear all the junk posts cluttering up your history. Since there is no way to unsubscribe from a thread, you are married to it forever. You only option is to delete your account and make a new one.

By unsubscribing and then creating a new profile, you start with a clean slate. It took me awhile to learn this. Unfortunately I'm now married to zillions of junk threads which raise my blood pressure.

I've learned the hard way never to post in a thread starting with "Do you...? If a thread has 1000 posts, it is toxic.

All you need do is go to your "In Box" in the upper right corner and send a PM to the Moderator (he's on your mail list) and request to be removed and they will completely shut you down.

when clicking "create a new message" the "To" box will auto-default to the GB Moderator.

I've had a couple local friends quit GB that way and their profile disappeared from the site within two days.

Why would you want to quit?

This site is GREAT!

If you must, change all your profile preferences to blank spaces, turn off all emails, and log out.
