There should also be a safety recommendation around the greater Detroit area. I know of a few places boasting low prices, but it could come at a great cost as there have been recent robbing at these locations. (Detroit near Plymouth and Schoolcraft)

To help update everyone of correct gas prices in the area so they can save money. I would love to win the free gas someday but I have not got it yet.

I had heard of this site, but it wasn't until I drove south on La cienega to the airport past venice blvd where I saw a significant drop all the way to the airport. Much more than a few cents?

Gas Buddy providing the communty a great service. I am sure it in the long run helps some stations to lower prices.

For example I hardly buy from Blair and Innes (petro canada) when I know a few metres away on Cyrville there is SAAB and Stinson.

I've used the site for a couple of years now, but noticed that some stations weren't reported very often. Even if I never use those, it's still nice to know before I fill up, so I figure other users would think the same thing. Now I can update prices myself. It's more fun to participate!

I thought also that helping put the information out there would help nudge the market ever-so-slightly toward being more competitive, and would help the gouge-the-travelers or gouge-the-commuters strategies to go the way of the dinosaur.

Oh yeah, it's also a neat way to use my new tablet.

I needed to know how much gas I needed to budget for my trip from Montana to Colorado and Google searched it. This is what popped up. Then I saw all that this site had to offer, plus the chance of $250 in gas cards!!!

Figured I join due to the fact that the usual gas/service station that I usually frequented wasn't listed on the website for the gas prices. That and I figured that I'd be given the service of helping both local drivers and out of town/state travellers along the way.

Since prices vary through the towns I drive to/from work it's a great tool to find the cheaper prices AND the chance to win the gas card is a incentive.

I don't know about crazy, but I sure like the site. I'm told by a lot of people that its not worth their time to save a buck. Or not worth driving out of their way to save a buck. Its their choice how they spend their time & money.
