Oil prices in the international market have fallen from $107 per barrel to almost $94 a barrel....Yet the prices in our pumps has not fallen at all..
Though when there is an increase they reflect it immediately...Realistically it should be around $1 a liter if someone was doing the right job ???
Who fixes the prices of gas at the pumps ?..Does he have no accountability to the public ?...Does the Govt not care about such fixers ? Obviously the guy who is fixing the price at the pumps is helping his company make millions and he gets a big fat bonus while WE the consumers suffer and pay the extra price when actually the price of oil is going down. Can't this ever be fixed or addressed and cant we find out who exactly fixes gas prices at the pumps and take them to task?? Why can't the Government ask these crooks why they do this and are they not accountable ??...This is daylight robbery of the public by gas companies across Canada...

The big oil companies are no dummies. They keep refinement adjusted to keep supply just enough to cover demand. That's why any hick-up in the refinement process and gas prices just 5-20 cents overnight. Just the suggestion of a possible hick-up (tropical storm or servicing delay) will send prices up, up, up. This will make big oil happy.

According to the gas price charts on this website, the last time crude oil was in the vicinity of $107/bl was mid-September. At that time the gas price charts for Toronto show the price of gas at 133 c/L. With the falling price of crude oil, gas prices have fallen to around 122 c/L, notwithstanding a price spike in the last few days to 126 c/L. So it appears that gas prices have fallen with falling crude oil prices but not proportionally.

You're welcome to show your math. I'm not holding my breath.

In addition to pricewatcher's epiphany above there is also the local pricing in my area to contend with. My gas prices spike up and then gradually come back down. I have become a speculator in the local prices at the pump. Fortunately GB helps give me a bit of "insider trading" heads up on price increases.

Well blow me down, are you just now noticing what has been going on for years previously? The whole industry is made up of crooks that basically control the world and all politicians within it.
