nice to see prices slowly going down now to keep them down is the problem but I found using royal purple and K&N air and oil filter does help get better mpg and little horsepower advantage I gained 2-3 mpg and approx. 20 horsepower and I just used a stock K&N air filter for my vehicle not a cold air intake system but made vehicle with over 80,000 miles gain 2-3 mpg and the cost isn't very much to do this plus using these 2 products better for vehicle.

.. Gas here was $4.50-$5 Summer of 2008 with Pres. BushJr... now were running $2.70's - $3.80's last few months... so we're actually well DOWN from back then... but still like to see gas in the $1's again... maybe if world stays peaceful and economy stays weakish...

Wooly13,

Ever think that retail market forces are causing these three stations to have different prices? They all have to compete for business with the stations in their immediate areas, not across some 50 radius. This is Economics 101 material. I'm not sure what is so difficult to understand about it.

I thought gas would be going up before last weekend. I was wrong. I saw this morning some stations in Bloomington-Normal are at $3.29.

Do us all a favor and watch the daily RBOB gas market to help you predict whether the future retail gas price will increase or decrease. Spare us all with these questions that you should know already.

Gasoline is commoditized and manipulated by the markets. The reason why gasoline prices is different in one area than the other is primarily due to transportation costs and local taxes.
