The truth is out there, we are selling more fuel to other countries than we use............ Find it out, Government intervention is robbing us!

So if they don't export it what should they do with it? Put it in tanks for a rainy day? If they stopped selling it outside of the US then one of two things happen, they either don't have enough when demand peaks, or they start charging more for the product because they have to store it by building more tanks to hold it.

Sell it all off. Our president needs dough. He is broke and his party is champing at the bit to give out free stuff.

An excellent way to improve the US's horrible balance of payments. Sell more exports. This is a healthy thing. Strengthens the dollar.

So what? The more money the oil companies make, the more taxes they have to pay. And, as you have heard, we need the bank.

Get more money by selling it than using it. Our government does not own the oil though. They do not control where it goes. There is a reason why oil companies keep posting record profits. Time to take the tax breaks away from "big oil".

These crooks certainly are doing this and then keeping the pump prices in this country astronomically high for families to suffer when paying for it.

Does anyone's car/truck run off of crude oil? You might be forgetting about an essential process in between that turns crude into the "go juice"

So how many people are actually going to vote in midterm elections next year to start changing the corruption?

Guess some people need to understand how the world economy really works before posting absurd comments on here...

I work for an oil company that owns refineries. We neither need or seek approval of the government to sell product outside of the US and at the same time they do not tell us what we can or cannot sell outside of the US. Those decisions are purely economic in nature.

PS We don't sell to other countries, we sell to other companies who happen to be in other countries.

I don't think the gov't is forcing refiners to sell fuel abroad.

This is a ridiculous post in the "government is out to get us" strain. Get your facts straight before posting.
