Anybody besides me get frustrated when you pull into a station & the pump prices are so faded you can't even guess what they are?

99% will choose to ignore a gas station with Illegible pump prices.
Illegible pump prices is a sign of gas station moving towards going out of business.

It happens a lot where the pumps are not fully covered from the sun. The plastic window discolors, and the price cannot be seen.

I've never had that happen to me. I might add that a station like that would leave me with doubts as to their other equipment and it's condition.

I have not had that happen. I have been where the sun was so bright, I had to shade the numbers to see them.

I've never come across illegible pump prices.

If, I couldn't read the price, I wouldn't buy at that station. I would go somewhere else.

Well, sometimes I do see panels with a digit missing off the signs. Ruins my whole day.

I would never buy from a station where the price was unclear. Heck, we have a station near me that has FOUR price points: self-serve, cash; self-serve, credit; full-serve, cash; and full-serve, credit. All of the different methods make it confusing enough, even WITHOUT faded signage.

Who would buy gas from a station if you can't see what the price is? That's crazy!

Then I suggest that you refrain from using this station if you don't know the prices.

Are you referring to the prices on the ad signs, or the prices displayed on the pumps?

I hate that! Some of the prices look like they've been scratched out on purpose. I skip these stations & only enter price/prices posted on sign.
