87 cents a gallon at my favorite gas station in New Braunfels,TX - in the mid 90's. :(

.25 cents a gallon, but they would have price war to drive the down to 18 or 20 cents at times.

You could get gas at a no-name for $0.199/gallon, but it you wanted the good stuff you could buy Standard at $0.279/gallon.

I didn't drive much until gas went up to $0.599/gallon (1977 price in Wichita, Kansas).
