I did a quick search of your vehicle, it requires minimum 91 octane fuel for optimal performance. most vehicles only require 87 octane fuel.

And your service department is feeding you a line of bull. All gas in a given area comes from the same terminal to a station nearest to you and is basically the same gas no matter where you buy it. This so called top tier thing is a complete myth.

My car runs just fine on plain old regular, the cheapest I can find.

Your car probably recommends a high octane fuel. Most "average" cars run fine on unleaded and not premium.
