Sounds like they are blaming refineries and crude oil transport costs.

.. Best action is always buy only at lowest priced station in your area... this causes competition that the stations and oil companies really pay attention to..!!!. It doesn't take a week or a month for a station/oil company to realize it hasn't had any customers...

Feb. 4, 2013: QUOTE: A strong stock market and signs of a healing global economy often lead to higher oil and gas prices. This time there seem to be a cocktail of factors feeding the high prices: •A jump in crude oil prices, as economic sentiment improves. U.S. stock markets are reaching for record highs and China's economy seems to be doing better. •Refineries are taking this time to do seasonal maintenance and are switching to summer blend gasoline — so capacity is temporarily restricted. •Tensions in the Middle East are in the news again.

If you look at the price of oil from a year ago it was going for more money than it is selling for today. But in Michigan we are paying 40 cents a gallon more for it today than we were a year ago even though oil is cheaper. Someone care to explain this one to me. Could it be just plain GREED by the oil and gas companies???

Their main excuse is they just want to legally steal from us. Just like a horse foundering over food if not stopped.

Greed. That's all. Just go to www.shipleywholesalefuels.com and read what it says. Click on the pricing options. There's something called Fixed-foward contract - A locked flat price. Maximum price contract - A locked in maximum price for an upfront premium. Or Collar - A range of price protection, creating a floor and a ceiling. In most cases the gasoline sellers get their fuel at a certain price and play the up and down game with people. It's time to get them busted for ripping people off.
