If I had plans to go somewhere else, then I still had to cart his butt home. I don't want any part of car pooling as it takes away your independence.

We also consolidate trips so we can get the best fuel economy. My job has erratic shifts so it will be tough to carpool with co workers.

Quit to enjoy my alone time to work and back, the freedom before and after, and being able to always listen to what I want to, most of the time talk radio that I just couldn't keep up with when riding with a chatty kathy all the time.
