Even with a 10 cents drop, Shell would still be too expensive here in Stockton CA.

Shell has the highest prices in my city. Don't know who would use it, but I do see some people pumping their gas. Must be rich people.

I don't use Shell. Getgo, a grocery store related discount program, let me help a friend fill up for 30 cents off every gallon. I only use BP and cash.

3 cents? I wouldn't even consider that a good deal. I buy 15 gallons and what it that, 45 cents? Doesn't even qualify as chump change!

So far I have never used the Fuel Rewards card anywhere but at Shell stations, so you don't have to buy anything to get the price drop.
We have several Shell stations that aren't lowest, but are on the low end of prices. So if on GB I see a Shell station nearby that's fairly low, I'll pull in and check how much the price drop is. The drop occurs before you pump, so you can decide if the drop is worth it to continue.

I get 3 cents per dollar off gas using the MBNA Cash back credit card. so that's about 10cents a gallon.

I don't use the Shell fuel rewards ~ looks like you need to buy merchandise at participating retailers - none of which I would regularly frequent.
I do however regularly save $.10 or $.20 and on occasion as high as $.40/gallon using my Giant (grocery store) rewards card ~ you get $.10/gall off for every $100 spent on groceries. A win-win since Giant is our closest store and low-priced...and Shell is one of the lower-price gas stations in our area - always lower when we get $.10/gallon discount.

Ten cents per gallon using a Kroger card at a Shell Station, but most times I can buy the gas cheaper at a regular station because Shell is always higher than the rest.

On the Fuel Rewards web site there are people who have supposedly filled up for a penney a gallon. They must have boughta lot online and ate at a lot of the participating resturants.
