Really surprized at all the "never heard of it" responses. Come on guys, get up to speed, this is not a forum about beans..... Lucas is OK but there are a few that are superior.

For engines run normally up to about 30K, the latest oils do have OK detergency. After that, a good oil system cleaning along with a decarbonization of the combustion system, valves and injectors works wonders.

I found good results by using MotorKote additive. Some are telling me that they treat the engine with ER, Duralube or Slick50 Before adding the MotorKote. (add motorkote at next oil change)

Try the decarbonization and oil additives on an old single cylinder 4 stroke for verification.
A quarter ounce of Acetone adding to 1 gal. Regular Shell adds to the amazement.
Experiment before using anything on your $5000 auto engine......Some of the naysayers will discount the above as usual but some of us can atest that the process has been successful on old lawnmowers (air cooled Briggs, no less) from late sixties still running strong today. Can't say that by using straight motor oil and some gumout.

It depends on what you need them for and I don't usually need any of them.

I use a gas additive. It does improve gas mileage imho and is good for the engine.

Will not be stopping anytime soon.

My Honda Accord has 425000 kms.

additives are only useful if you need them

you might use a oil additive in a worn manual transmission to reduce noise

a fuel additive might be used to fix or clean out a sticky fuel injector the bottom line is for 99.9% of the drivers and cars out there , there is just no need for any additives , Lucas or otherwise

There's little to no need for any of the products that Lucas makes in my view. Oil additives make very little sense because motor oils have all the additives they need, especially with the new API SN oils.

As for gasoline, just buy a Top Tier fuel.

I would consider this advice "awesome", if I didn't hat that word so much.

They're "awesome".

Maybe you can provide a little more description or explanation about what or why they're "awesome". Simply saying something is awesome without explaining what you mean is like saying a restaurant "...is the best ever...lots of selections." No idea what that type of review is supposed to mean.
