Many smaller places are still full serve only and the attendant usually has to manage the store counter. I will keep an eye out for it and report back.

It was a cool way that the workers could be working on a car in the garage and get notice of when a car arrived at the station for a fill-up.

The station attendant/owner was also a mechanic fixing cars... when the bell dinged, he new a customer drove in and went out to pump their gas and wash their windshield and check their oil level... and tell them thanks for stopping by...
