I've seen prices on particular stations change as much as 5 times per day in Vancouver. I've seen stations change to a particular price as I was driving home, but when I log onto GB, I might find that those same stations have just been updated to a new price.

It varies, depends on local competition and all the other outside factors.

The other day my local $peedWay started the day at $3.99 then dropped the price to $3.91 and then a few hours later bumped it back to $3.99. When I drove by in the early afternoon the price was back down to $3.91.

Once maybe as often as three times a year. Whenever a boat off loads.

I am in Ohio, with the highest concentration of Speedway gas stations. There is a phenomenon known as the Speedway Effect described in the following link.

From what I've observed over the last two years gas prices tend to shoot up about 30 cents on average and over the following 7 to 14 days they gradually come down to within a penny or two of their pre-spike price before shooting back up again.

This reeks of collusion since the majority of the time the retail price movement is independent of wholesale gasoline on the Nymex or oil price movement. Be assured though that anytime wholesale gas or crude oil prices spike that retail will surely follow.

It seems lately that most of our stations have remained the same. That's here in waukesha.

The price is regulated for the province so it doesn't change much except for the once a week adjustment by the government.

That depends on the gas station and the current economic state. Never hurts to see the price drop more than once a day, but I dreaming about that. Gas usually rises more than once a day at times, though.
