Sometimes at 300 miles, other times 400+ miles. Sometimes I let the idiot light and warnings sound. It all depends on what I'm doing, what I plan to do, and where I am. If I need diesel in Indiana I'll wait as long as possible and only buy enough to get to Kentucky where I'll top the tank.

If they are dropping, will let it go until the mileage gauge says 50 miles left. If they are going to rise big time, I may put as little as 4 or 5 gallons in to fill it up.
