Would make no sense to drive significantly out of the way because of the cost of the gas I have to replace.

Maybe go 5 min out of the way for cheaper gas and to support stations with the lower price

I always check Gasbuddy first, then make my decision where I will buy my gas. Back on December 21st, 2012, I had just got off work & I thought I would check Gasbuddy real quick before I went home. There was a posted price of $2.79. My first thought was this was a possible bogus price, but I decided to run by that location since it wasn't too much out of my way going home. When I got there, it was as posted, I couldn't believe it. Every pump was busy, so I waited because I wasn't leaving until I got my share of this cheap gas, LOL.

No, not usually. I will, however, put off getting gas until the next day when I know I'm going to be at a location where it is cheaper than what I am currently near.

No .... here in the town where I live ..... the price for 87 octane is nearly always the same price at nearly every station. When traveling, I watch gasbuddy for the cheapest prices but do not usually wander very far off my planned route.

No.

But if this site indicates I am driving past or near good price high volume clean station then I will buy fuel whether I "need to" or not.

No. Unless the price is significantly lower, it does not make sense.
