Apparently, modern oil formulas don't require you to change oil viscosity during hot and cold months. Moreover, synthetic oils are only required if you abuse your vehicle (towing, extreme abuse, stop-n-go traffic).

No. But I would never go to a lighter oil. You want a thicker oil if anything for the summer months.

No, all cars have thermostatsa, so they will run at the same temperature, regardless of the outside temperature.

Synthetic oil is required by manufacturers. I am not sure it should be used to abuse the vehicle... Some oil will not take well cold temperatures. Oil Grades are a not a fancy thing...

All oil is about the same weight, If the question means viscosity, NO ONE would change to a lower viscosity in the summer!
They might use a higher viscosity.

I suggest that this topic be deleted.
