Now I am even seeing diesel selling for less than regular gasoline in parts of more rural Central Illinois.
Here in the Chicago suburbs, diesel continues to run fifteen to thirty cents less per gallon than 87 octane at many stations.
My last refuel was about 70 miles west of Chicago and diesel was just two cents less than regular gasoline, but then it was a low to no bio-content diesel which is often much more expensive than the typical B-11 mix sold in most of Illinois.

Diesel is definitely cheaper than regular gasoline in the greater Chicago area - by about 15 cents per gallon.

Diesel always used to be cheaper than gasoline. I don't know what the refining process is for diesel is these days. But back when, we always thought it was cheaper because it was cheaper to refine.

Here in Calgary, Alberta diesel is now cheaper than gas at many stations. Regular has jumped to $118.9/L at many stations. Diesel is still anywhere from $108.9/L to around $115.9/L

Noticed it for the first time in a nearby community.
In our own community gas is considerably cheaper than diesel.
I have noticed that diesel prices have been a bit more volatile of late.

D2 and RUG are the same price right now. One more price jump for gasoline and D2 will be cheaper again.

i've only noticed a few times that diesel is cheaper than the premium gas by about 7 cents, maybe 8.. I use regular, so it would not make sense for me to switch to diesel vehicles..

I refueled yesterday with premium diesel in the far southwestern suburb/exurb of Oswego, Illinois for $3.759.
Regular unleaded at that time was (and currently is) $3.839 at that same station (Meijer) - same price spreads at the neighboring Murphy USA (Wal-Mart outlot), too.
Right now, as of this post, there are many, many stations in the suburbs here where diesel is noticeably cheaper --> as much as 40 cents per gallon less expensive <-- than regular gasoline!

Yes...
...daughter #1 refueled the Jetta TDI yesterday and paid $3.699 for B11 at a station selling 87 octane E10 for $3.779.
There are many stations around Chicago now where diesel is less expensive than regular gasoline.
Diesel in this area has been less expensive for us to purchase than gasoline most of the time for more than a year now.

In SoCal diesel is more expensive. Interesting, since it costs much less to refine. I wonder if gouging is coming into play?

Gee, I haven't seen diesel cheaper than gasoline(except in Italy) in decades. Not as many gallons/barrel of crude.

I refueled again yesterday and paid $3.899 for diesel fuel at a station selling 87 octane E10 for $3.879.
If I wanted to use biodiesel in my car, which the manufacturer warns against, I could have saved another 10 cents.
In my home area, diesel fuel (usually a B-11 mix) is currently less expensive than regular gasoline (usually E-10).

Once again in the greater Chicago marketplace it is possible to spend less on diesel fuel per gallon than 87 octane gasoline. This was the case for most of 2012.
I refueled at a Speedway immediately north of O'Hare International Airport Friday morning and paid 20 cents per gallon less for diesel than they were selling 87 octane gasoline (3.899 vs 4.099).
Winter is over... D2 is back, reformulated gasoline is back, and prices have swung back to where diesel is much more economical as a motor fuel.

Considering diesel is a by-product of gas production it should be cheaper. but here in canada it is 2c/L more.
