“There was a time when the 3,000 miles was a good guideline,” said Philip Reed, senior consumer advice editor for the car site Edmunds.com. “But it’s no longer true for any car bought in the last seven or eight years.”
"Oil chemistry and engine technology have improved to the point that most cars can go several thousand more miles before changing the oil", Mr. Reed said. "A better average," he said, "would be 7,500 between oil changes, and sometimes up to 10,000 miles or more."
I drive about 700 mi/week and change it every 5K.

12,000 miles with Mobil One. As the Blackstone Laboratory group with their superior testing says, all top rated synthetic oils are basically the same with no front runners.

All current synthetic oils basically considered the same with Mobil One recommended

One must not pay too much attention to reviews if the reviewers are from the same group. i.e., don't listen to how great milk is, if reviewed by the milk industry.

An independent group such as the Blackstone Laboratories group are extremely reliable.

25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. It saves me a lot of money and hassle, but that's using the pioneering industry leader, AMSOIL synthetic motor oils. :)
