I post as I see them, if I am not driving at the time. But from reading forums it sounds like people wait to post, maybe because they at driving. With gas prices changing so frequently, up and down, how do you think it affects the accuracy of gas buddy? And how long between when you see a price to the time you post do you consider acceptable?

Just curious.. I post as I see them, if I am not driving at the time. But from reading forums it sounds like people wait to post, maybe because they at driving. With gas prices changing so frequently, up and down, how do you think it affects the accuracy of gas buddy? And how long between when you see a price to the time you post do you consider acceptable?

I don't do this for points but to validate whether prices are going up, down or are stable. The two stations in my locale change prices four or more times a day! I strive for accuracy and honesty and do drive up to the pumps to assure the road signs are correct (sometimes they do differ).

I've posted prices several hours after an observation but I post the time of the observation.
