That response sure ticked me off but then again I had to remind myself I'm probably talking to a minimum wage teenage employee who just does what his/her supervisor says. I did once get someone fairly cool and I asked if I said a number if they would tell me if their prices were higher or lower. I gave them the price I just saw at the corner station which had recently changed due to a price hike and when he said "lower" I quickly drove to their station and filled up at the price before they jacked it up to coincide with the price spike.

In my state, the stations wont give that information over the phone. If they did, they'd be on the phone all day answering that question, rather than dealing with customers on-site. So they wont do it.

They have a lot of trailered boat and vintage car customers and sometimes run out.
