Maybe we can do this promo 4 times per year, if it continues to grow the user and price accuracy.

Such promos may increase user clicks and membership...but I assure you it does not increase PRICE ACCURACY!

Yep, agreed. But, they have had prizes a long time so I would start by going back to weekly or monthly. I think the AP Awards did the most damage and the move these bonus points are probably adding also to the bogus posting of prices. The move to daily contests probably also increased false pricing. Add in the fact that they made it harder to correct/remove/report bad pricing...

And, if keeping any "contest" eliminate any free tickets for joining, and any auto entries.

I totally agree with bytebug. Before the drawings went weekly then daily and the app awards, members posting bogus prices was not such a big problem.

While it might be useful to have a drawing to benefit one Gas Buddy member out of the ten million or so members, based on much posting in the discussions, it seems to be reliably noted that price accuracy is secondary to points and awards earning.

Better to have either an increased weekly drawing prize or daily drawing prize than to have "gas for a year".
