Anything CampKohler has on his wiki should be taken with a grain of salt. The instructions for completing the fields for a new station in the MSL are well done. I would follow those before I followed anything CampKohler suggested.

QuadNorth:

First, when you say you want to add a station not listed, are you saying that the station you want to add is not shown on the home page of the Gas Buddy website and you don't see it in order to view and/or update gas prices?
Are you saying that you tried to use the home page "search feature" and didn't see the station when you did your search?
Or are you saying that the gas station is not listed in the Master Station List?
Or are you saying you don't see the station listed using one of the Gas Buddy mobile apps?

If you're not finding the station on the home page or using the search feature on the home page (the first two choices above), it's possible that that no one has posted gas prices for the station recently. Gas prices for the British Columbia Gas Buddy site are removed after 36 hours, and won't be seen until someone posts a price for the station (either by using the Report Gas Prices entry box on the home page or by other means); and, as a reminder, if a gas price is already listed and you update the price for that station, the 36 hour starts again (beginning from the time of your post or update).

If you're saying that the station isn't listed on the Master Station List, in order to update the Master Station List you must be a "senior member", meaning you have 10,000 or more points from various Gas Buddy actions. You can earn 10,000 points in approximately a week and a half if you do the maximum points earnings each day - you can earn points daily for up 5 gas price posts (you can continue to post more gas prices than the 5 that earn points to further help your fellow members); you can earn points for up to 5 message posts, for reading the 5 daily news articles, earn points for voting in the weekly poll, and you can earn points for referring others to Gas Buddy).

Alternatively, if you aren't a "senior member", you can use your local British Columbia discussion category to start a thread and ask a fellow British Columbia senior member to make the entry for you. Simply provide as much information about the station as you can for the other member to confirm before adding the station to the Master Station List.

What CampKohler has linked (below) is a copy of what's on the Master Station List, showing the information most useful for each station; further information can be added in the Station Notes section of the Master Station List.

Does that help answer your question, or do you want/need further help, or do you have more questions?

Since you do not have enough points, you could post it in the British Columbia forum and as someone that posts prices and has 10,000+ points to add the station for you.

You need to have 10,000 points to add a station, which you should have by now.
